We eventually ordered a different brand because we had TWO orders of this Mohawk gunpowder come in that the contractor deemed unacceptable. For the cost, he said this is not acceptable, we're shutting down the job. For each of the two orders contractor installed about 100sf and made the determination. In both cases the quality was poor - first order the planks "cupped" they were not flat. Second order the boards were not milled properly causing gaps at ends and sides when installed. We ordered (and successuly installed) a different brand for which I raved 5 stars on this site - Kinsley Distressed Hickory. Home Depot handled the process wonderfully and was all over the order and install to the end - they did an awesome job. The contractor was phenomenal.

I was sold on pre-finished and a 50 year factory finish. An oak floor finished in your house the...I was sold on pre-finished and a 50 year factory finish. An oak floor finished in your house the old fashioned way is durable and pretty resistant to water. This floor is the opposite, it absorbs water like a sponge. Within minutes of any spill, the wood is buckled and the finish separates from it, permanently destroying the floor. Stay away.

Pleased but not exceptionalWhile acknowledging it is advertised as random length there were more short pieces than I had anticipated. The longest piece was under 6' with most under 30".
The 5" width is actual, not nominal.
A bit more color variation between pieces than I expected.
The small, 19SF, quantity was a plus for me as I only needed 10 SF.
