It is narrower than the one that comes in the kit and has a tendency to chip the edge of the lami...
It is narrower than the one that comes in the kit and has a tendency to chip the edge of the laminate if used above the tongue and if used below the tongue it will crush the tongue and mess up the end so the next piece will not slide in smoothly. Your best bet is to just buy the kit. That one works good for me.

I have put in many laminate floors. I always just used a piece of wood, that would usually end up...I have put in many laminate floors. I always just used a piece of wood, that would usually end up at times splitting the floor.
I used this pro pull bar and what a difference!!! I can't believe I put floors in without this helper. I will not put another floor in
without it ever again.

The first time I installed a laminate floor my son and I were at our cabin in the middle of nowhe...The first time I installed a laminate floor my son and I were at our cabin in the middle of nowhere and I made something like this out of wood. It broke frequently but we finished the project. This metal one is great and easier to use.

Recommended, but buy in personThis is a big, heavy, well made bar, but quality control may be a little off. My local store only had two in stock. One of them had the wide hook formed crooked; in use it would’ve pulled the board sideways. The other was straight.

Great tools for floor installations. Used this for a vinyl...Great tools for floor installations. Used this for a vinyl plank flooring install and actually preferred this tool over the tapping block. Extremely sturdy and versatile as it fits into tight corners as well.

We chipped the edge of several pieces of laminate flooringwhile...We chipped the edge of several pieces of laminate flooringwhile using this before we stopped using it and went back to using a block of wood. I would not recommend this product.
