Rating IV is indicative of its hearty composition, able to withstand high traffic suitable for almost any residential or commercial setting, indoors or outdoors. Quarry tile is the perfect choice for kitchens, bathrooms, patios, shopping malls, foyers and other areas that see heavy foot traffic.

We had to replace a strip of quarry tiles by our front door. The floor was put down 34 years ago and the American Olean tiles are no longer available. I found the daltile tiles online and was able to have them shipped to Home Depot. The color is almost the same as what we have in our foyer but the tiles will be under a rug so they won't really be seen. They were the same thickness but just slightly more narrow. We were extremely happy that we didn't have to replace the entire floor.

Buyer bewareThe tiles are fine, not great. Biggest problem is that Home Depot does not stock them; they get shipped to the site or to the store. I did both, and in both cases, the tiles were packed so poorly that about half of them were chipped or broken. Colossal waste of time and effort. I had to buy more than twice what I needed to do the job.
