This is easier and cheaper than brick and has serious advantages. It's Impervious to most anything and grouting is hundreds of times easier than pointing with mortar. We are covering a large fireplace in a craftsman style home and the color and texture mimics solid brick. It even feels cool to the touch like fired clay brick. A few notes: (1) Instead of floating the grout even with the surface, let the sponge drag some grout out to produce a realistic mortar joint. (2) as in any tile install, getting the base row flat, plumb and level is key. Take your time. (3) We used 3/8" tile spacers because they produce the perfect size gap for this size tile...it just looks right. (4) The color represented on your monitor isn't as accurate as you think. We ordered a box of each of the 3 colors available and placed them all over the room against the wood floor, wall trim and paint colors and immediately decided on the Rustico. Our Home Depot is 30 miles away, so we don't take decisions lightly :) This is a good product & you will not be disappointed.

Kitchen backsplashWe love it in our kitchen with the existing glazed biscuit cabinets that we weren’t ready to make the expensive replacement. We are thinking about adding more brick look as an accent wall in the dinning room and half bath in our “Art Deco” constructed house with arched door ways. Even though they’ve worked and we like the finished product, I do wish they were a tad wider and shorter—more realistic.

love it but my tiler did note that they are...love it but my tiler did note that they are slightly different sizes so the grout spacing will be slightly uneven. i’m ok with that since it will look rustic and fits within the style i want.i don’t believe the dark and light pieces go together as much as i would like but that’s a personal style

Amazing Brick TileWe used a contractor for this as we were doing a whole house renovation. We originally picked a more expensive brick from home depot, but after realizing how much it would have cost, we figured this would give a similar effect. Little did we know it would be amazing and exceeded our expectations. We did it in a herringbone pattern inside our front entryway and we receive so many compliments. We used antique white grout as the bright white was way too white. We also used a smeared grout look so it would give more of a farm house feel, we tried it with regular clean cut grout look and we did not like it at all, just depends on the look you are going for but we had no trouble with them breaking, etc.

Let me start by saying, I am a general contractor who specializes in rustic remodels, when I saw ...Let me start by saying, I am a general contractor who specializes in rustic remodels, when I saw this tile, I had to have it in my home and I made a huge commitment to it. Hope this review gives some insights into install and what to expect. The beauty of this tile is it has a very close resemblance to real brick, as such, no two are exactly the same and the shape of each tile is a little different than the next, some have a little arches and indents, this is what real bricks have and so to do these. This makes install a little tricky but with patience, it turns out great! The manufacturer recommends a 3/8" spacer, I do too to help offset the irregular shape of the tile, it was easy to overcome just by making sure, in general , your rows are level. Real brick has a 3/8" grout joint so why deviate, speaking of grout, you're going to use a lot of it! Be prepared for that, also, real brick does not use white grout so plan ahead and try to get something that looks authentic and your project will turn out that much better. I ran heat under part of it and they warm up quickly and thoroughly. If you want that old worn look, this a great tile to achieve that!
