This T-molding is drastically better quality than the laminate wood (mdf) T-molding that I have purchased in the past. The laminate has been found and to chip easily, but the is all one solid piece that appears to be able to withstand a good amount traffic. It was easy to cut with a hand saw and I would think a table or miter saw would work as well. I might recommend using a finer tooth blade like you would for plywood to keep the edge nice. I did one initial score with a utility blade, but I would not recommend a traditional score and snap like you would use with a vinyl plank. The snap in design of the T-molding could get damaged.
Speaking of the snap in design, I was able to use the existing rail from the previous transition piece which made the install very easy. I clicked it in by hand and they tapped it down with a soft mallet to make sure it was secure. Even though this transition piece is not made by LifeProof, it matches the Life Proof Seasoned Wood Luxury vinyl planks perfectly.
