I bought one package of this flooring to patch a small section in my old hardwood floor. It work...I bought one package of this flooring to patch a small section in my old hardwood floor. It worked perfectly well, matching the old wood very well. After sanding a bit to bring the new wood down to the old floor level, I was able to stain and polyurethane the new wood to match, as I still had some stain from when the floors had been refinished a dozen years ago. My only complaint with the product was that the average length of the individual pieces was rather short, so I had to high-grade the batch in order to keep the number of seams in the new section similar to that in the old. Seaming the new wood was not a significant problem, as the product is all tongue and groove in the ends.
