We just installed this flooring in our living area and just love it. The product is great...The Installation was TERRIBLE!...When the Installers got here and surveyed the floor, they determined there was a "Major" imperfection in it being level and refused to install it. We had already cleared the room, ripped up all the old former carpet and tacks, etc., and was left standing with an empty room (after waiting to have it installed for over a month!). They would not even try to solve the problem so we decided to have Home Depot refund the installation fee and we found a local contractor who insured us there would not be any problem with installing that the "imperfection" was so minor he even laughed at the notion. The person we hired to install it was NOT out to make a quick buck, in fact he was working on a major job locally and saw the situation we were in and immediately went to work the following morning. So buyer, beware on having Home Depot Install anything..They have good products, I won't argue that point..The Installation "rules and regulations" are TERRIBLE, and should honestly be reviewed. Not all people live in a perfect home and these situations should either be looked at prior to the customer clearing out everything before the Installers come and THEN tell you they can't do the job.

Excellent quality and consistencyThis is one of the best flooring materials I've used. So far, no scrap due to defects. Board widths are consistent for an excellent finish. No foolish 1' short boards to deal with. All board lengths were within a few inches.

I ordered a sample of the Millstead pecan floor to see if I could use it to replace carpet in my dining and living rooms. What a disappointment! The bottom layer of the sample I received was fraying badly on two sides; the top wear layer is only 1/16" (1.6 mm) and the finish on it is so soft that you can make scratches in it by pressing into it with your fingernail. The wear layer was also splintering on one side.

The installers (did not use Home Depot, sorry) were very impressed with the quality of wood, stating that it was very easy to install. I could not be happier.
