Bamboo Espresso - nail down
The floors were just put in and they look great. Very hard and required some special tools. The installers said they really liked the quality of the flooring even though they were difficult to work with. We did a nail down on new subfloors and had to glue down the last few rows along the walls and corners - nails literally do not go through the top of the boards

Great flooring for the price!
This flooring installs fairly easily, cuts well and fits perfectly. You MUST use a 18 gauge cleat nailer (I rented a Powernail 50P Flex) for nail down installation. I used GAF Tiger Paw roof underlayment as a vapor barrier under the flooring. We put down 900+ square feet in 20 hours which included carpet and pad removal. It looks amazing!!!!!!

Difficult Material to work with
We used this flooring in an addition to our house. The floor was not quite level which did not work well with this flooring. It is very rigid and way too hard. Most carpenter nails will not penetrate the wood, but it is still easily scraped if not careful.
I would stay away from the bamboo flooring.
Either spend less and get laminate or spend more and get a REAL wood floor.
Also, unlike a real wood floor, this can not be buffed and refinished.

Nice flooring, looks great so far.
We put down about 700 square feet of this strand woven bamboo flooring.
We nailed it down to the sub floor with an 18 gauge nailer. This worked really well on the "solid" version of the flooring. It went down pretty easily, only messed up a few nails. So far, the floor looks great and the finish is holding up. It is a dark color, so it does show every little piece of dirt/scratch. We knew that going in to it though and really like the color. Many people complain about "off gassing" with their new bamboo floors, we did experience a bit of that on the first day or two but it quickly went away.

It looks amazing when it is complete and was pretty easy to install. We installed it with glue on concrete and nails on upper floors. It looks modern and beautiful. The only con is that it shows every piece of dirt or dust and scratches easily. That is an easy fix with ebony stain. We were doing construction after we put the floors down which made it easy to cause minor scratches. Took a rag and wiped that spot with stain and it would completely blend. I still would rather mop everyday and have these floors. Completely worth the price.

First time floor laying
This is the first time I installed a floor that was nailed down and I was a bit hesitant going in. But it turned out to be easy. The product cut really easy, including ripping. The color was consistent throughout, as was the quality of the product. I didn't have even one bad board. Well, one board from the manufacturer that was bad.
I did notice that it was a little tacky to handle but it was very humid out. This seemed to be more the backside and the top felt fine.
Over all, very easy for a DIY'er to lay.

Very Nice Product!
Have not had the time to get them installed yet, but they look really good! Never had bamboo flooring, so hopefully it will hold up like they say.
