Did it myself, and love it
I changed my whole house from carpet to this bamboo.
32 cases total, and my waste was less than 5%. Very easy to install with a chop saw, table saw, and jig saw.
Most of the chopped pieces can be used as the start of the next row. Only waste came from closets and doorways. A couple of imperfect pieces, but they were salvageable when you need a partial piece to start or finish a row. Not bad for 32 cases!
Looks fantastic, and my dogs nails do not scratch it. After a few days of sliding around, he now walks gingerly.
I would definitely recommend this product(and I never recommend anything)

Beautiful floor
We purchased over 300 sq feet of this product. It appealed to us because it is eco friendly and the hardness of the wood. We are not dissapointed. The quality is excellent for the price and the wood is harder than other solids. Very few damaged pieces and these could be cut and used anyway. We are very happy with our purchase and the color is beautiful.

The material was fine except that the boxes that came only had 15sq ft in each box and on line it showed 22.68sq ft per box so I was short and home depo .com is absolutely terrible customer service which to twice as long to get the rest of the floor that I was shorted and I will never again use them

We are very happy after 3 months
I am not much of a carpenter, in fact most would call me a wood butcher. I am 72 yeas old and I am working on restoring our home we have lived in for 38 years. One of the many tasks I have done recently was to replace our floor tiling in our kitchen and breakfast area. A total of about 500 square feet. I have never installed a wood floor other than a small floor in one of our bathrooms.
I ordered this particular flooring because we both loved the color and liked the idea that it was solid bamboo which we understood was the most durable for a kitchen. We are mostly alone in the house but we do have two large energetic dogs so durability was high on our list of requirements.
I was able to install it with little problems other that is so hard. In places where I could not use a floor nailer, I had to pre-drill pilot holes to get nails to go in without bending. I did not have anything special for a pneumatic nailer. Just a cheep Harbor Tools nailer. I do have a good compressor with sufficient power and I made sure that the regulator was set at the correct pressure at all times. I hardly had any problems at all. I used number 16 cleats and as long as I took my time, made sure I was square when I used the mallet to drive the cleat all went very well.
After 3 months the floor looks absolutely beautiful. Even with our dogs running round and round even to the point of slipping and falling, and us moving new appliances in and installing other things in the kitchen there are NO marks or scuffs of any kind. We just use a little floor cleaner on a mop to get what dirt we track in and food stuff we drop.
I have no affiliation with the manufacture or Home Depot at all. I am just a happy customer. I will be ordering another 500 square feet this coming month to install in our family room to replace a very worn and old carpet. We could not be happier with the quality of the flooring. Just make real sure you are getting the stranded solid bamboo.

Great product
Let me explain the "Ease of installation" rating. This type of product, bamboo flooring, is not easy to install. I'm on my 3rd carbide blade and soon to be 2nd router bit. It's that hard of a wood. To make matter even more difficult, I did a ribbon around the perimeter then a diagonal interior. That meant every course had at least 2 45-degree cuts and grooves. I strongly suggest the flooring staples the manufacturer suggest and the flooring pneumatic stapler gun too.
I love the flooring. I've gotten so many WOW's from friends when they enter my house. I've done 3 room for over 750 square feet. Next up second floor foyer.

Nail locations show in the surface!
The wood is beautiful, consistent, tight tolerances, very little flaws.
BUT, we got 200 s.f. of our 750 s.f. project done and noticed that about 20% of the nails show in the surface of the wood. There is a slight to moderate hump about 1 inch by 1/2 inch over many of the nails. This is exaggerated in certain light, and when the sun hits it just right. This is unacceptable. For the price of the wood, and the labor to put it in, I can't see an easy way to fix this other than either live with it, or rip out what's down and go with something else.
I would either use extreme caution when nailing this down or glue it down. The problem is that the wood is so hard, and the thickness is likely too thin that when a 16 ga cleat is driven in at the tongue, the wood needs somewhere to displace. Where? Well, the path of least resistence is upward leaving a hump in that nice surface of the wood. To most (visitors) it will be unnoticeable, but once it is pointed out (and unfortunately we know it's there), it sticks out like a sore thumb!
Home Legend's support was absolutely no help. Basically they said the solution is to remove the nails that have the humps over them. That is impossible without ripping the entire floor up. Their other suggestion going forward is to predrill every hole. Really?!? Predrill 4000 holes? And then try to hit the predrilled hole with a pneumatic nailer?
Avoid this product, or be prepared to predrill and hand nail every board. As for the durability of the product. We'll see if the hardness and finish live up to their claims.

Bamboo flooring
Ordered two more boxes to finish a room with leftover flooring I had from 3 years ago. Really is high quality with a nice finish. I have 2 Bulldogs and they can't come close to scratching this flooring with their nails. My daughter managed to slightly scratch it with her baby walker over time. Nothing drastic. I clean it with pine sol and water mix and a microfiber mop. Cleans up great and should last a very long time before I would need to sand and poly. Easy to instal yourself but if you don't know what you're doing, leave it to the pros.

Do not buy Home Legend products. I bought SOLID STRAND WOVEN WALNUT 9/16
Style: HL205 in 2012. My floors look terrible only four years later. The issue is its very dry in Colorado. To keep the floors in good shape they need a certain level of humidity. When I ran the humidifier the floors swelled up. When I turned it off the floors seemed to be ok again, but last year they started buckling. Home Depot washed their hands of the situation and told me I'm out of luck. I spend $6300 on product and $9000 on labor, to be stuck with a floor I need to replace only a few years later. Do yourself a favor and talk to the salesperson and installer about how Home Legend, Home Depot, and/or your installer will stand by the product if buckling due to humidity levels will be handled.
