I had written a review a year ago, but can no longer upload pictures into my old review on the website. Since many reviewer pictures helped us make our decision, I wanted to get some of ours up there for those who are seriously considering this flooring brand/color. We installed the flooring ourselves as a floating floor over cement slab in the first floor of our home (over 1/4 inch cork underlayment and poly vapor barrier). It was a 1,600 sq ft project and was worth every penny/drop of sweat. Overall, this is great flooring for the price (and we see no noticeable scratches from our golden retriever's nails) and there was so little scrap in our project. Remember to save the scrap half of each board that you cut to start the next row, so you can keep down the cost. I highly recommend. If you had carpeting over cement slab before (like us) and go with the extra $$ for cork underlayment, you will find that your floors will be much warmer than before.

The floor is beautiful I didn't install it so I cannot provide a rating on the ease of install, b...The floor is beautiful I didn't install it so I cannot provide a rating on the ease of install, but it lived up to the tiny sample I took home -- it blends with my other solid hardwoods nicely. I had to take a star away because I can already tell upkeep is going to be an issue every little thing shows and can potentially alter the finish if left for more than 5 minutes.

Ended up using about 35 cases. Out of those 35...Ended up using about 35 cases. Out of those 35 there were at least 7 cases or 20% of order that didn’t have enough of the short pcs. to give the varied length look in places.

Better Than ExpectedWe are so pleased with our new flooring! For the price I did not know what to expect, but we were surprised with a floor that has a lot of variation and character. The rooms we installed the floor in required a floating floor and we wanted a floor that could survive our two dogs. This flooring allowed us to meet those requirements (the wire brushed surface should be very forgiving) and get the look and variation of natural hardwood. Installation was very simple and we were able to complete both room in a couple of days only installing in the evenings.
I would recommend opening up several boxes at a time during installation. We found that some boxes contained a lot of light pieces, some a lot of dark, and some the same wood grain. By opening up a lot we were able to get the most natural look and not have repeating patterns.

floor for my airstreamThis floor is half the price of other similar floors. The fit and finish is good. The snap lock system worked fine. If you pull it together tight before locking, the seam nearly disappears. There are no bevels on the edge so the surface is smooth. It is 3/8 thick. The pieces are 4 different lengths so you can offset the cross seams. The wear layer is very thin, you will not be sanding and refinishing this floor. The veneer is thin and is packed as it came off the tree, so you will get 2 or 3 planks that look nearly identical so make sure to shuffle 3 or more boxes before starting to lay or it will appear to be a picture of wood , not real wood. The aluminum oxide finish seems to be tough enough but it is not glossy. Between the wire brush finish and the satin finish it is nearly flat. I had to look twice when I first opened it wondering if it didn't have a finish on it. Once it is down it looks great and I am happy with my purchase.

Great looking flooring, easy to install. Installed 850 sq. ft. of the Wire Brushed Natural Hicko...Great looking flooring, easy to install. Installed 850 sq. ft. of the Wire Brushed Natural Hickory in one of my rental houses and I liked it so much, I just now installed 1350 sq. ft. in another. Everybody always oohs and ahhhs when they see it. Working by myself I installed the 1350 sq. ft. in nine days working about 5 or 6 hours a day. 4 bedrooms, 4 closets, hall, living room, family room and den.

Great Product!I thought this was going to be too dark for my small space but it all depends on the paint color on the walls, these floors look great! These floors are half the price of the floors I purchases for my first home and are more durable. They don't scratch too easily because they don't have a gloss finish- if you are looking for a glossy finish DO NOT buy these floors. They are dark- do know that means you can see A LOT of dust pet hair etc. Also, since they don't have much of a finish DO NOT use chemicals or cleaners even if they say hardwood in the floor- follow the directions listed in the packaging! Altogether I LOVE these floors for the price! You just can't beat it! I installed these myself in half a day (500 sq feet)

BeautifulThe flooring is beautiful. You do have to put felt on all the legs of your furniture so it doesn’t scratch up the floor. I do have a cat that’s been running around on it haven't noticed any scratches from her. I can’t scratch the floor with my finger nails as one reviewer commented. I personally will look for waterproof flooring next time we have to purchase flooring.
