After purchase, it took almost 5 weeks for delivery, during which the flooring became lost . Home Depot Online pointed to receipt by the brick and mortar Home Depot Store, the Store had no record of receipt and oddly, online Home Depot cannot communicate with brick and mortar Home Depot. Finally the order was found misplaced in the Store. Unfortunately, the flooring was much redder than the sample at the Store, so all the effort to get the best match was wasted effort anyway. Finally, at least one splinter has lifted from the floor material. Lesson, buy only flooring that can be in your hands before payment, open each box to check color, and paying more does not mean you are getting more.

It's a beautiful floor with wide and long boards, however it's soft. A paper thin veneer is applied to mdf board. The specified Janka wood hardness rating/resistance to denting is 1360. That rating would be for a real solid Oak floor as well. I accidentally dropped a metal eight ounce Stanley 12' rule from 3 feet it dented and slightly ruptured the veneer fibers. I then dropped the same rule from the same distance onto a real 1948 oak floor and it dented it but no rupture of the surface. The mdf needs to be harder to protect the veneer from rupture. Don't drop any thing on this floor and don't use old fashion high quality measuring tapes. Using this floor for a dinning room but believe it should only be used for a bedroom. Sent the paper work away for the real warranty to see what it is compared to the advertised 55-year residential warranty.
The butt T@G joints appear to me miss-manufactured. The upward facing right butt tongue is half the width of the left butt downward facing tongue. The right butt joint is shown in the advertizing photo. Most upward tongues were broken/sheared ineffective at locking because they are so thin thus weak in shear. This floor is applied on a thermo-flim heating system. Some of the butt joints have slightly opened. I only allowed a total of 1/4 inch for length expansion for 14' thinking that more space would allow the butts to really open up. Walking on the floor makes a slight crinkly sound in a couple of places. Its only on 6 mil plastic and the thermo-flim membrane. More padding would be recommenced to make it completely silent but I didn't want to interfere with the heat transfer from the film to the floor surface. The sub floor is then 1/2" sanded plywood, 6 mil radiant vapor barrier, ¾" t@G pine, on 2×6s at 16'' centers with 6' span. Flooring is laid perpendicular to the joists its the only way to do it right as all joist floors sag. The sub floor is insulated r-19 over a concrete slab. The sub-floor was flat with no ridges the plywood screwed to the joists.
Each box contains 5 six foot boards, and 2 each of 4 foot, 3 foot, and 2 foot boards for an 11 board total per box. I Laid the floor out in Autocad before doing the install so I have a repeating and consistent pattern of butt breaks with minimum waste for a 14'x12' foot room. Install was fast and easy given the large size of the boards which were straight and snapped together easily, very little tapping was required. Make sure you have an install tool kit as the veneer can be damaged at the edges.

Excellent product, easy to put down. Used this product in a large Master BR, walk-in closet, dining room and living room. Floor looks beautiful and friends love the look. Used the recommended under-layment and one person can complete the job. We did it ourselves with no problems. All of the boards out of the boxes were perfect with no damage. Ordered 10% more but did not need it. I was able to return the unused boxes for full refund. We have had the floor one year and it looks brand new. We have a dog and there are no scratches from her nails or from any furniture. I would fully recommend this product and am planning to use it again in a new house we are planning.

Product is great. Easy to install. Box appeared okay on pickup but corners of product were damaged inside. No time to order a new box once the damage was discovered. Luckily we had just enough to finish the project on time.

Great Color, Smooth Finish, Easy Install
Great Color, Smooth Finish, Easy Install.. Very wide panel look, but I love the deep yet varied color of the woods. Came out looking great in my opinion and much cheaper than other wood found online. Yes, it's thinner, but with proper install that isn't or shouldn't be a problem. Recommended for fast renos and a contemporary look.
