First time using these and i'll say i'm very impressed. I have a split level house, the living room/kitchen floor has a 4ft high crawl space underneath it. This crawlspace was not insulated, even the ducts did not have insulation. By the time the "hot" air went through the ducts in the crawl space to the far vents, it wasn't even "luke warm" air coming out.
I put these between my trusses against the subfloor. As these are pricey and I didn't want such a majority amount of heat coming from just the split floor and not going to the other 70% of the house, so I did it every other joist. I then put some Rockwell bats against those flush with the bottom of the joists.
All I can say is it's night and day difference. Not only that, but my furnace doesn't have to run nearly as much. The install is pretty easy. Though I would say anyone without basic DIY skills would likely have difficulty. Putting it in a crawlspace is very easy. However to install in an existing ceiling/floor would obviously be much more difficult. Talking removing drywall/insulation, putting this in, then redoing it.

This really helped take the chill out of our tiled bathroom floor. We recently built a house and I regretted not putting in a heated under layment before installing the tile. This was just what we were looking for to remedy that problem. Installation is a bit involved, so if you are not comfortable with running electric I would hire someone to do that. If you are familiar with that type of work you will have no problem installing this. You will need a temperature probe and a dedicated thermostat, these things are not included with this. We are happy with the performance of this retro fit floor heater. Having heated flooring is one of those things you never knew you missed until you have it.

I got these to install for my downstairs bathroom after installing another type under new floors. I loved these and wanted to have them in the bathroom without ripping up the floor and installing new ones. The ease of installation will depend on how easy it is for you to get to the floor joists or subfloor of your existing floor. I didn't realize how small a space I would have when doing this which is really my fault not the product. I got two of these to cover the entire area and am happy with the finished floors and how nice these are. It does seem to take a little longer to heat the floors with these than the one's I installed directly below new flooring. I do like the warmth of these still when the heat gets through. I do recommend getting the thermostat to work these with as well as it is great.

OK, I'm sure a lot of us do this, get up at night to use the bathroom and walk on that cold wood or tile floor, not fun, but here is the solution, QUIETWARMTH radiant heat film for under subfloors, what a cool idea and very easy to do, the box shows you how to install it, or you can go online for instructions and you'll need to pick up a thermostat, tack the film between the joist in the length you need, cut to fit, add insulation and run your wires to a thermostat and your floors will be toasty warm !! I ran mine the whole 10 feet from the hallway to the bathroom and ran the wires up next to the light switch for the thermostat in about an hour and a half and I Love walking on a nice warm floor and you can do this anywhere you want a warm floor, bath, kitchen, hallway, so cool !!

Extremely simple to install. I used this as a retrofit to enhance my 3/4 guest W.C. and powder room. Save the shipping box. Installation is so easy, there is no instruction booklet. Four steps are captioned under three photographs on the package. One might say installation is intuitive. I did not gain experience with cutting to length; but will do this with additional rolls as I expand the coverage. The type of switch or timer to be used is not addressed by the product literature. But the electrical power consumption is accurately told, so one simply can figure out the electrical power draw for the complete installation. The power leads are nearly 15 feet long and are comprised of solid copper 12 AWG, so one has no difficulty routing adjoining mats into a Code-compliant junction box. The manufacturer also has similar products for use under various other floor finishes. And they produce thermostats that can be controlled through Wi-Fi. Besides expanding my coverage beneath tile floors, I am considering additional of these for use as heater mats under seedling starter trays. Of course I'm going to shelter them with a moisture proof counter top because I don't believe wetting the film is advisable.

It was only after we moved into our house we realized the open plan first floor had no heat in it. This meant cold floors over our unheated basement.
Installation was pretty quick, and fairly painless. Don't forget to purchase a control devise as one is not included with this set up. I am not an electrician, but the wiring and install was straight forward, if you have wired new outlets and switches before this will be on par in terms of difficulty.

The QuietWarmth 120-Volt Radiant Heat Film for floors is the product you never know you needed. My tile floors are notorious for attempting to give me frostbite in the mornings and when I had a chance to put his below the floor when it got replaced, I jumped right on it.
Would probably be best if you hired a qualified electrician to install this for you, but well worth it.
