This stuff is handy to fix grout around bathroom tiles. It's "sanded" and matches the existing white grout well. In my application, I removed the caulk around the top of the tub, scraped out as much grout as I could, then filled it all in with this. I purposely never caulked afterwards. The building continues to settle, so it developed small cracks after about 5 years. I simply scraped out a little extra with a grout scraping tool and filled it in with more. It is now 5 years later and time to touch it up again BUT at least there's no moldy and/or yellowed caulk to deal with. This stuff cleans up nice and white even after 10 years. In my opinion, caulk around the tub is ugly and redundant. From now on I'll just use this, since I don't mind scraping out enough of the old stuff to help this adhere well.
Product stayed usable in the container for about 2.5 years.
