DOES A REALLY GOOD JOB AND SO EASY TO USE!
As a do-it-yourselfer, I've tiled my fireplace, my patio, my kitchen counters, the kitchen floor, and other areas around my home. I used to borrow a friend's wet saw but it was inconvenient, so I ordered this Brutus Tile Cutter in the hope that it would do a reasonable job. Well it does a FANTASTIC job and I am really impressed with this tool!
This tile cutter is quite substantial in weight and well crafted. After removing it from the box there is only a small amount of assembly required -- just screw the red knob that holds the cutting guide to the main body, and screw on the angle guide lever.
Once the cutter is fully assembled I placed a porcelain tile under the carbide wheel which scores the glaze. After scoring I made sure that the breaker foot -- which presses down and holds the tile securely in place -- was just inside the back edge of the scored tile, press down on the lever gently but firmly and the tile snapped perfectly along the score line. It was the easiest cut to a tile that I have ever made, and without the water and grit that is the result of using a wet saw.
The tile I cut was a 1/4" porcelain tile -- one of the most troublesome to cut -- and this tile cutter did a perfect job.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone needing to cut tile, and it's especially versatile as it is not a large tool and could be used right at the site of the tile installation.

The first thing I did (as with all tools I buy that that has a squaring function) is to check to see if the guide is square. It was not even close. For one thing there were metal fins extending into the slot that stopped it from getting square. A little work with a rat tail file took care of the fins but it still was not square. The slot did not extend far enough to let it get square. Some more rat tail file work took care of that.
My first task was to cut down some 2 inch wide tiles to 1 1/2 inches. So I set the gage to 1 1/2 inches. Scoring the tile became a problem when the breaker T hung up on the locking screw for the square. The red cap and handle ended up getting knocked off by the breaker T.
About a third of the tiles I scored did not break cleanly. I had to finish breaking them with nippers. This may have been partly my fault because the last few tiles did break cleanly. May be a learning curve here.
The tile cutter is very solid and stout. The head moves easily on the rails and scoring is easy. The grip fits my hand well and it is comfortable to use.
I recommend this tool with reservations. It was not ready to use right out of the box. And cuts of 1 1/2 inch or less are problematic. I have yet to try angle cuts to I can't say how well it works on those. For the price and if you are willing to work on it a bit, it is a good value.

If you're thinking of cutting tile...
I was skeptical to do my own tile work as I was under the impression you needed a wet saw in order to cut tile to exact specs. However, when I saw this I figured I would give it a try. I had to cut some slim pieces of tile to install against the edge of a replaced door frame. Setup of this tile cutter out of the box was easy. There are only a few pieces that you need to assemble and it comes with two cutting wheels (extra one in the handle). The tiles I cut were porcelain and they broke off perfectly! With this set up, you can cut tile indoors (and not just in the garage) so you can get tile work done in the comfortable indoors during winter. I recommend this to anyone thinking about cutting their own tile. Just make sure you read the item specs so that it can be used for the type and size of tile you are working with.

Purchased for use with flat porcelain tiles but ended up using with ceramic mosaic tiles. Worked fairly well and I believe with non-mosaics it would have been excellent. Esp for the price. Comes with an extra blade tucked into handle but buy extra for larger jobs.

Easy to use and compact. Six inch cuts were great but all 12” cuts would curve inward on each end. Maybe it was just me since this was the first time I used a tile cutter. I think with more practice I would do better. Not sure so I gave it 4 stars.
