Saved the job!
After buying a tile saw and spending hours to put up the first wall, I purchased this cutter. The first one I brought home was an open box and was missing the scoring wheel. However, once I got the missing piece I cut the remaining tile in one tenth of the time. I am not kidding. I only use the saw for cuts that cannot be made on this cutter.
The device is very high quality and made 100's of cuts without a problem. I am on to my second job and looking forward to using this tool!

Quality built
This tile cutter has solid metal rails, not hollow, the cutting wheel easily adjusts for any thickness tile. Just use a medium downward pressure and she will score just fine then a steady press down and you will have a nice straight break. This is a great cutter for when you don't need intricate cuts and don't want to pull out the big dewalt.

rubi was great on 18" porcelain tiles
I used this rubi star 21" tile cutter to cut about 50sq ft of counter top and backspash area for kitchen using 18" tiles and it came out perfect. Trick is quality tools. I recommend this for any one who wants to avoid tile waste. I cut 18x3 inch strips perfectly no problem with this rubi as well.

excellent tool
i am i diyer and strongly recommend this product i started with a m-d cutter from lowes DO NOT BUY one of those, spend the little extra for this it cuts straight lines and the gaurd locks for repettive cuts, not to mention it cuts much quicker and cleaner. cant recommend this tool highly enough

Works great and on sale $22 now at my local Home Depot
Used on 18", 5/16 thick floor tile and this worked great. Able to make strips about 1" wide. Makes true clean and straight cuts.Way better than wet saw for straight cuts.

Not accurate info!
The box reads that it should be able to cut a 16" tile diagonal cut. Only cuts a 15" cut. Waste of my time!! Home Depot has the correct info on website, however the box should also state 15". Called the company they said well 16" is just an estimate??? My tile is 15 3/4" and it wont fit!

The heading says it all. It's. a real piece of junk. Don't waste your time buying it. Can't cut straight if its life depended upon it. So I returned it ASAP
