The spike strips are contoured to fit onto most walls or fences with a flat top 1-in. (2.54 cm) or more in width, or any chain-link fence with a 1-3/8 in. (3.5 cm) or 1-5/8 in. Very easy to apply.
This was an easy to apply solution to keeping my idiot neighbor's litter of delinquents from climbing and actually breaking my fence for the third time. It went on very quick. The instructions were very good. The PL-400 adhesive was very strong after 24 hours. The PL-400 does come in a caulk tube so be sure to have a caulk gun on hand.
The directions say to use a 1/4 inch bead to adhere the strips. I used a slightly wider bead and it was too much as the glue squeezed out from underneath the strips and was messy to deal with.
To keep the strips in place, as the glue cured, I wrapped a wire around the fence rail and over the strip and twisted the ends thus tightening the strip down to the rail. I did this at about every 12 inches.
I only just installed this product so it is too soon to tell how good the value is. The quality seems good, but, to my knowledge, this product is unique with nothing to compare it to. I will tell people to take a chance with this product as it does fill that nich between razor wire and doing nothing. It is a safe product with no sharp points or edges. In my opinion, it is safer than the chain link mesh that make up a chain link fence.

Excellent product, easy to use, durable and does the jobThere has been a rash of break-in's in my neighborhood this year. Burglars typically jump your fence and enter through the back. Our gate and fence are particularly vulnerable and I was looking for a product to discourage attempts to enter our yard without making the home look like Guantanamo Bay. This product was the perfect solution for me. I was able to install 48 feet of this product myself easily in 2 afternoons. I would only add that you may need additional premium construction epoxy adhesive to secure all of the strips. Only one tube is included in each pack, and this was not enough for me.

So far, so goodI bought about 100 ft worth of these and installed them on the top of a wall of a retail building in CA, where barbed or razor wire is illegal (gotta protect the rights of the criminals, after all). Vandals had been climbing the wall to access the roof to spray graffiti and recently, to break in to the building through an A/C duct.
Installation on the cinder block was easy and the adhesive provided is very strong (though it wasn't enough, so I had to buy about 25% more adhesive). I used duct tape to hold the strips down while the adhesive cured. I also mounted a couple of "Warning - Razor Wire - Do Not Climb" on the wall. I didn't bother painting the strips
Since the installation a couple of months ago, there hasn't been any graffiti or vandalism where they had roof access (though unfortunately there was some ground level graffiti). Previously, we'd have vandals up there every couple of weeks. These strips, combined with the signs seems to be an effective deterrent so far. We'll see if it's effective long term.
The manufacturer was also excellent as far as customer service. About an hour after placing my order I got a call from them to confirm when the order will ship and to answer many questions had. Never had that happen before.

Installed on my chain link fence, on gates and areas of easy access. Spray painted them black like the fence, will sharpen the spikes if things get bad. Won't stop everyone but it will slow them down so I can reload.

Nearly UnnoticeableNearly unnoticeable. Not an eye-sore because they blend well with the decor. I don’t feel like I’m in a prison, yet I am now very secure.

This product was reasonably priced, looks tidy and was easy to work with; bends for rounded gate ...This product was reasonably priced, looks tidy and was easy to work with; bends for rounded gate and easy to cut to length & drill through for screws.
I have attached it to masonry (with the supplied tube of industrial adhesive), as well as a wooden gate and fencing (screws + adhesive) and it's nice and solid.
I wouldn't want to climb over it, but if I had to, I would throw a heavy carpet over it, so it will dissuade casual trespassers/would-be thieves.
