Nice quality, comfortable padding
I was worried reading the other review about this padding being noisy, but when I ordered carpet installation this was the standard pad they offered so I decided to go with it.
It's a nice quality pad, and the installer did a great job with the installation. It feels very nice under foot, just absorbing shock feeling sturdy and firm, not overly squishy.
I walked all around and couldn't get it to make any noise so my concern is gone.
I'm now glad to have the plastic coating as I think it will help prevent spills from soaking into the padding.
Definitely was a much higher quality than the generic contractor pad that was ripped out.

Good padSeems to be soft underfoot, was a good value. Didn't use HD to do install, wish I had as price is better, but the end result turned out great!

sounds like a plastic bagWhile this pad serves its purpose...the moisture barrier sounds like a plastic bag when walking on the carpet now.
I had this installed by Home Depot (along with the carpet) in a rental property. I didn't pay too much attention, otherwise if would have never let the installers leave.

Good carpet paddingUsed this in the living room and for the steps. It's probably not high enough density to hold up for very long on the steps, but it's better than what was there and is very soft. The living room is not very high traffic and is actually just a play room for kids, so it's nice to have a padding this soft in this room, and the moisture barrier is nice to have there too. Great insulation properties too, it improved the warmth of the floor by quite a bit in the cold winter months.

We bought this as waterproof padding under an area rug...We bought this as waterproof padding under an area rug due to having a senior dog prone to accidents. I like the cushion it adds and the piece of mind it provides for any accidents our dog might experience.
