Had this unit for 6 months, it reset the schedule multiple times. Randomly stopped functioning on occasion, showing AC and FAN on but nothing happening. Noticed when it turned on AC it started raising in Temp such as 75 it would turn on but then be reading 80. It was physically getting warm in the unit causing false readings but cooler in the house. Removed the unit from the wall to see why it wasn't working one night (inop said cool and fan on) and found the terminal block had overheated and had burn marks on it. I replaced the unit with the old one I had and have no issues. I would highly recommend this item to no one, I would suggest if you have one remove it and dispose of it.
If I could have putt negative stars I would have.

BEWARE: I used this thermostat for several years before it began automatically resetting and experiencing issues with the display. A thermostat shouldn't have a such a short shelf life and I would seek brand options.

If the wiring to your thermostat has a common wire (labeled 'C', for providing 24VAC power to the thermostat), I strongly recommend buying the Hunter 44377 model instead of 44378. The problem with the 44378 model is that it runs exclusively on battery power, and is not capable of using hardwired 24VAC power as the 44377 did. The result is that while two AA batteries can last for years in the 44377 model, they last for only a few weeks in the 44378 model. When the batteries start to run low, you'll notice because they'll lack the necessary voltage to close the relays which trigger your heat/AC to turn on. You'll hear your heat pump start up, only for the relay to click back to the open position seconds later, which makes the heat pump immediately shut off again. Frequently replacing batteries in a thermostat is an annoyance I could do without, considering there's a perfectly convenient power source built into the wiring which it fails to utilize. The scheduling features are awesome, and the interface is fantastic and easy to learn, but you get all the same bells and whistles in the 44377, which is the best thermostat I've ever used.
