Distressed 3/4 in. Solid Hardwood floors are sealed with a 7-layer aluminum oxide finish, providing protection from every day wear. This product has achieved GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification and has been tested for more than 10,000 volatile organic compounds, including formaldehyde, to meet these standards. The tongue and groove profile allows the flooring to be installed on and above grade. Hand scraped flooring is sculpted by hand to create vivid texture and unique richness of characteristics in each plank. Did 350 sq ft of our kitchen/entry/dining. Lots of color variation and grain typical of hickory. Has a hint of red when lit with a warm color or evening sun. Color changes quite a bit depending on lighting as you can see in pictures. Ranges from a light brown to a hint of red when lit with a warm color or evening sun. Boards were of equal width and had very few that were "bad". The hand scraped nature of the floor makes it perfect for socks as it's not too slippery. The random length boards made laydown easy, but be sure to watch those seams. You'll get a few ladders and the occasional H pattern but with this many joints it disappears when complete. Minwax Provincial Oil Based stain matches well on hickory if you need to fix any scratches or stain any additional trim to match.

After two attempts to install a different brand through Home Depot we changed to this brand. This...After two attempts to install a different brand through Home Depot we changed to this brand. This brand is lower cost than our original (2) brand orders and yet the wood is far better quality (milling). The Home Depot contractor who was our installer for all (3) orders was instantly impressed with this 3rd order - as soon as they opened boxes and took out pieces they knew this brand was going to be THEE ONE to make it through install.The contractor was professional through all installation visits and it was the contrasctor who shut the job down on the first two orders - after installing (prior product) about 100sf (each time) they had enough to know it was not worth what we paid. We were amazed the contractor did that! If we had installed DIY, we would not have known the issues he clearly looked for and shut it down. Home Depot was awesome about everything and their contractor was/is top notch. Now I will rate the original wood as poor - it was mohawk gunpowder hickory. Installed 1/6/17, very easy to clean with Bona (swiffer-type) cleaner and looks great!

I'm a former hardwood floor installer, and so I have worked with my fair share of flooring produc...I'm a former hardwood floor installer, and so I have worked with my fair share of flooring products. This was by far my favorite floor to install. 99% of the boards were straight, the beveled edge is a great look, and the pattern and color give this floor an overall look of wood quality for which you would normally pay 2x this price. I had no "buyer blues" after installing, and would purchase this floor again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful FlooringMy husband and I installed this flooring in our entire home. It came well packed, with consistent board width and color. This was our first time installing hardwood flooring and it was very easy to install with little waste. The floors have a rich, warm glow and are beautiful. I normally don't write product reviews but this flooring surpassed my expectations.

Very well packaged and the flooring itself was all usable, very few defective pieces that had to be put aside. No issues with differences in the mills, laid very well. Unfortunately I have already noticed a few scratches in the floor and we haven't moved into the room yet, I am hoping it was from the tools installing it and it does not scratch that easily. Very happy with how it looks though.

We ordered the boxes, sending the shipment to the store to save on shipping cost, and had a contractor install it. (Home Depot's hardwood installation is ridiculously high!) I absolutely recommend. It is distressed, which is perfect for us.
