Excellent wire, bad instructionsBeware of installing the wire. We made a pattern on paper for wire placement to be the width of three 2x4s per the instructions. HOWEVER, the nubs on the DITRA sheets require wire to be placed at 3 1/2" apart. So it tooks a little longer to modify the layout as we laid the wire. We did the wire testing using an ohm meter. All tests went great. Installation is done.
Schulter also recommends that 2 temperature sensors be installed in the floor, BUT fail to mention HOW to get 2 sensors. IF you read ALL the manuals in fine print, you will find out that one temperature sensor comes with the wire, and one temperature sensor comes with the thermostat. So now you have 2 sensors to install. You need to carve out a hole in the DITRA to lay the temperature sensor in, so it does NOT elevate the tile.
