Will be a disservice to review the hardwood floor I bought and spent thousands for it.
The Homedepot Bedford Styuvesant store in Brooklyn, NY did not informed of my order arrival and refused to deliver. The day I came to pickup the hardwood floor I found it under a pile of cement bags. Needless to say the hardwood floor was mishandled and damaged. The store delivered 25 of the 27 boxes and reordered 2 boxes of hardwood floor. When I unloaded the truck I noticed additional damaged hardwood floor boxes.
I hope that all damaged hardwood floor will quickly be replaced.
Ordering the Hardwood floor at Homedepot turned-up to be a bad experience.

Beautiful hardwoodI searched Home Depot online and in store for months looking for solid hardwood floors before stumbling across this flooring. I guess I hadn't found it sooner because I was searching under a certain price point and this flooring isn't cheap by any means, Luckily, it was on sale for half off and I didn't hesitate to add 800 square feet of it to my shopping cart. As much as a I love this flooring, I wouldn't have paid full price simply because it wasn't in my budget. I shipped them to store and they arrived very quickly. The pickup process was easy although I wasn't expecting them to be too heavy to haul in our pick up truck. So I rented a home depot truck for an hour to get them home which was also a great convenience and very affordable.
The floor has been in for 2 months and still looks brand new. Neither my 3 children, the cat or our 2 dogs have been able to scratch or dent them. I would describe the color of the floors as slightly darker than a medium brown but not quite dark. I installed this flooring in 3 rooms and our entryway. The color varies in different light and photos. It's not a "grainy" looking wood. The finish is smooth but not super glossy like many refinished hardwood floors you find today. I think it could fit in any style or decor. I had a contractor install the floor and its my understanding that hickory is harder than oak and can be difficult to install, though he said this floor didn't give him too much trouble. Some of the boards weren't cut perfectly square and once installed I notice a few areas where one end was cut narrower and left a little gap between boards. This could be common and maybe something my installed should have caught prior to nailing down. Some boards also had worm holes which I call defects but my husbands calls "distressed character". I wouldn't have used those pieces, but my installed did. All in all, I think the pictures speak for themselves. I highly recommend this floor and would purchase it again at the sale price.

Beautiful!This flooring is really beautiful. I bought it because I couldn't decide what flooring I wanted and picked the one that was on sale.
I put this in my laundry room, my master bath, master walk-in closet and all of my hallway. The wood is really hard but the finish did get scratched almost immediately by my 20lb dog. The scratches are superficial and don't show up very clearly unless you look for them.
One thing to consider, it shows all specks of dust immediately! If you have a light colored dog or cat, I would not recommend it. Mine is black so not a big issue for me.

Install was easy with minimal defects in the product. The wife is happy with the end result. I wouldn't hesitate to do this again.

Very good quality. Not too difficult to assemble and lay...Very good quality. Not too difficult to assemble and lay down. Color shade is as shown. The only criticism is that the finish is so smooth that is as no real wood grain texture to it. Now this is a personal preference criticism. Great looking but no visual wood grain ‘texture”.

Great ProductThe floor is stunning. Plan on at least 20% waste. We had some boards with knots, that had a crack, missing tongues, little holes, etc. that we found. We used them in our hall closet, pantry. under the refrigerator, stove and dish washer.
I used 2" cleats with a pneumatic floor nail gun, which worked great. For close to the wall I used a pneumatic finish nail gun with 2" nails. I set the compressor at 80 psi and it put the nail in slightly below the floor top so it is easy to finish.
Boards are very high quality as the floor stayed perfectly straight throughout the install. I probably would have liked some more medium length boards, but it looks fantastic now that it is completed.
The variation in color is perfect.

I’m surprised by poor quality of tongue and grooves, having...I’m surprised by poor quality of tongue and grooves, having to spend too much time checking boards. Lots of short boards as well, but expected with this brand. Site won’t allow one star rating.
