Great Product at a Great Price.
We selected this product due to its price point and overall great looks. Initially we purchased enough to do one downstairs bedroom. We liked to product well enough to purchase about 2500 square feet more to do the entire house. We installed this ourselves with the help of some family. It took a few days to do the upstairs (largest amount) and one afternoon to layout the downstairs multipurpose room.
We have had this in the house for several months and are quite pleased with the overall looks and performance. The cat has yet to scratch it during his sprints around the house. Spills wipe up easily. General upkeep is easy (vacuum and mop with a laminate flooring product). We've put pads on all our furniture which makes moving it around to clean a snap.
Still working through installing baseboards (upgrading) and various other small items associated with the install.

On the same quality level as Pergo but much cheaper!I ordered this online and was worried about pieces being damaged by rough freight pkg. handlers. I only saw one piece that had any flaw whatsoever and I still was able to use the piece! This is a steal of a deal @ .99 sq. ft. I used Pergo in all the other rooms in my house except the kitchen, bathrooms, and an office which I tiled. This stuff is the same quality as the Pergo and at a savings of 1.50 per sq. ft. over Pergo. I wish I had taken a chance earlier and done the whole house in this Hand Scraped La Mesa Maple, could have saved a lot of $$$. I used the cheapest white foam pad ($15?) from Home Depot that comes in 100 sq. ft. rolls and it gives just the right feel, not too spongy, just right. My daughters and wife were all busy so I managed to lay this floor totally by myself, using one foot to guide the piece I was tapping in, while using a plastic floor block to tap with a hammer into place. With one person tapping the block and the other guiding the end into the groove properly it would have went faster for me, not a knock on the product at all. 2 enthusiastic thumbs up!

Absolutely Stunning!!! Beautiful!Just a stunning floor and easy to work with! Put this is the master bedroom and it it gorgeous! (I made the mistake of buying a high gloss floor from a "lumber" place. Big mistake. Now I want to replace that this with this.)
It is not a high gloss floor. It changes color as the light's hit it. Very real looking and not drab.
People who have seen it swear it is the real thing! Love it! Had it shipped and no damaged pieces what so ever! Ordered it and it was here in 4 days.

Great! We had Home Depot install this on our entire main floor (about 1500 sq. ft). We LOVE it! With 3 teenagers and 4 dogs (one a BIG lab), nothing has hurt it! No scratches from our labs nails! We will be doing this all upstairs too!

Great quality & lookThis flooring looks great & our home depot installer did a great job putting it in. My neighbor came over who has been in flooring for twenty years and he thought it was hand scraped hardwood. We love it.

Happy with this productI love how easy the click floors are to lay. This is a sturdy and nice-looking floor especially for the price. I had maybe two pieces that had damage out of 18 cartons. I normally wouldn't even consider something this low priced for fear of quality but after reading reviews, decided to go for it. I'm glad I did.

La Mesa Maple FlooringWe just installed this floor in our kitchen/living room/hallway. It was very easy to work with. It took 3 of us two days to install about 650 sq. feet. We had some really tricky corners and door frames to go around. It would be really simple to install in a rectangular room.
The transition pieces are not great. They need touch-up on the edges and we could never get them to snap into the plastic rails that they come with. We eventually used liquid nails to attach them.
Everyone who has seen our floors thinks they are great, and they really do look nice. But, here is what I am not so happy with:
* Because it is a darker color and a smooth finish, every little bit of dust, grease, foot-print, and particles show up. We'll have to sweep and mop every day (we have 4 kids)- so I'm not too thrilled with that. I think a lighter color with less sheen to it would probably have been a better choice for us.
* So far, we've accidentally chipped the floor twice by dropping things (one of the things was a hammer- so that's our fault). We'll try to touch it up with a stain pen. It probably won't be too much of an issue.
* This isn't exactly the "Hand-scraped" look that you see in other flooring. I expected it to have the little dents and more or a worn texture. It is basically a smooth floor.
Would I choose this same flooring next time? Because I have little kids, probably not. If I didn't have kids, or if I was installing this in a place besides the kitchen, this would be a good flooring.
Next time, I'd go lighter in color and would be more cautious about the shine/reflection. But, I think other than the cleaning issues (and I'll have to get over my OCD about keeping it nice and clean), we'll be happy with this floor for many years.
