This durable prefinished engineered real maple floor will enhance the value of your home. The flooring is crafted of five layers of solid wood permanently bonded together in a cross-ply design. No HDF or other fiber boards are utilized. This construction provides superior strength and humidity resistance…no warping or buckling. The stability of this floor provides maximum installation options (float, staple, or glue down). The aluminum oxide finish provides 10 times more abrasion resistance than ordinary urethane finishes. Excellent Flooring Great Price
Flooring looks and feels great. We used MP Global's "Insulayment" from Home Depot, as we were installing over wood subfloor and joists.
I bought the pallet because I wanted to do the upstairs all at once, and I knew I would use whatever was left for the downstairs later on. Out of 830 square feet, there were only a few planks our contractor said were unusable, so I feel a bulk purchase was pretty safe regarding quality, and will likely do it again when I do the rest of the house.
I didn't rate Ease of Installation because I ended up hiring a contractor due to the scope of the work and my schedule. However he was able to put down about 630 square feet in 20 hours of work from bare subfloor with no baseboard (I did that beforehand). I problably could have done it, and it looked simple enough, I just didn't want to tackle it.
One thing you'll have to be aware of is walking on it initially, you'll have a lot of squeaks and other noises as the wood settles, but as you walk over it that will subside. This is common.

BEAUTIFUL FLOORINGThe flooring is breath takingly beautiful. However, it is NOT easy to install. The first three rows are next to impossible. After that it still takes a strong person to do the click lock. Sounds so simple, right? NOT! It requires hammering with a wood mallet and scrap lumber. After the first three rows it gets easier but the last row is just as difficult to install as row four was. Having said all of this, I am still going to be purchasing more to do another room. Once it is down, there will be years of enjoyment just looking at it. I like it far better than any other wood flooring that I have ever seen.

A very rich and rustic lookIt has a very rich feel but with a rustic look. Not 2 boards are the same. We love it!! It was what we were looking for to match the rest of our new house.

Great Looking product!!!I wanted an engineered wood product to glue down to a concrete slab foundation. This product looks great! The floor has great natural variation in the wood. The textured edges give the floor a very rustic aged look. I went with the 3" wide boards which come in various lengths to further ensure that warm and inviting look. I highly recommend this product if you want a great finished product. Be prepared for the compliments when your friends and family see it.
