Don’t let the price fool you, this is a quality flooring! A group of 4 of us installed 1,500 square feet of this flooring in a church that was built in the mid 1930’s so you can imagine what kind of issues we encountered during the installation. We installed the entire 1,500 square feet in less than 8 hours without a hitch. The flooring went down very easily and it looks wonderful! I would personally rate the ease of installation at a 5 out of 5. The flooring turned out fantastic and looks beautiful! I would highly recommend this flooring. Now.....what I don’t recommend is ordering this online and having it shipped via freight. I ordered it June 24th and didn’t receive it until July 11th. We traveled 1,800 miles to refurbish this old church and the flooring was supposed to be delivered on July 6th, the day before our arrival. I’m very thankful that the installation was so easy or we wouldn’t have been able complete our mission. Anyway, we love the flooring!

Best decision I’ve made all year! After pouring over reviews for laminates in the $1.50 to $2.00 range, I stumbled across supremely affordable Lakeshore Pecan and read all the wonderful reviews that said not to hesitate. One review said someone put it in a large expensive home and was very pleased because it looks much more expensive than it is. The product is made in Germany and is very well engineered. So I went to Home Depot and brought home a sample. I tried to scratch it, I soaked it in water for half an hour and nothing happened at all. Maybe if your house gets flooded, it could get damaged, but not under normal living conditions. Any way I had a contractor install it and it turned out beyond my expectations. I put it in a condo prior to listing it. I got my first offer on the third day.

Great productI have been installing this product throughout my house over the last two months and I am very impressed! The laminant is highly durable - I put scrap pieces through many tests to see just what will happen. A small piece fully submerged in water for 8 hours with no expansion or water damage when dried out, tried to stain with red wine, pasta sauce and ketchup - did not stain and finally dropped a hammer from different heights. A hammer dropped at three feet did not leave a noticeable dint, the hammer dropped at six feet did dint, but it was minimal. My large dog running across the floor has not left one scratch nor has me dragging furniture across it. This product is so simple to install, I am a petite woman with no previous flooring experience and have not had one issue after watching a few how to videos. I do recommend getting a high quality underpayment as this product does not have underlayment attached. The color is rich with light and dark tones and will blend well with all wood furniture. I am very pleased with my purchase!

I have found that the hardest part of installing the new floor was preparing the old floor. It is so much more time consuming removing the carpet and pad as well as the hundreds of staples the held the pad to the floor. Then It is very important to remove any original construction debris such as glue, wall texture over spray that is under the pad. I miss a couple of spots in my first room and found it will make it almost impossible to piece the laminate pieces together. Also make sure the surface is as flat and even as possible wavy floors will make your installation imperfect if not impossible to install properly. I love my floor and my wife loves it more than she does me. It is somewhat scratch resistant. I found my wife sliding bedroom furniture across the floor and it did not leave any scar marks. Really a tough product. Most bang for the buck.

Expensive Look for Reasonable PriceTraffic Master Lakeshore Pecan Flooring is an expensive looking floor for an extremely reasonable price! Installation went quite well for me and my other half. I'm not extremely handy but could still pitch in and help. We put a mid grade pad underneath and it works great. It took the two of us only a few hours to complete our large bonus room. We liked the floor so much we ended up installing it on our stairs, bonus room, living room, hallways, and dining area. The stairs added an extra challenge but they look beautiful! I'd also note that you should be careful when doing really large projects like ours because the dye lots of this product seem to vary quite significantly between boxes. We did end up having to exchange a few boxes (6 boxes out of 40 didn't match) and had to hand pick out boxes that matched better. Home Depot made that process extremely simple for us. Ultimately, we couldn't be happier with the finished project. It's a beautiful color and it really brightened up our whole house. We hosted a large party yesterday and got so many compliments on it.

Great style, versatility and quality at an even better price!Placed this floor throughout my home except wet areas. It took us awhile to get it all done but it was so worth the effort. It transformed the look of the whole house, is oh so easy to care for and goes with any wood tone furniture. I was considering a much more expensive floor and I sincerely do not think I could be happier especially given the savings. The wider planks are attractive and look high end! They actually look like real wood, and with the underlayment the feel is much softer then the tile on cement we had before. The underlayment was the one with the little styrofoam dots which was forgivingly easy to use. There were minimal damaged boards and those few were used by cutting off the damaged end. The floor cleans easily using a robotic vacuum every other day and steam clean on light setting every other week. These floors always look immaculate and I love walking on them barefoot. We have a 14 lb dog that is very energetic but no kids except for occasional visitors and have had no problems with scratches or dents of any kind.

I’m currently using it in one room of my house where I ripped out carpet. This is just for temporary purposes however. I’m currently doing a full house renovation, and am planning on ripping out walls for an updated floor plan with a new kitchen where I will lay solid oak flooring throughout. Although this flooring is great in so many applications, it just won’t tie in too what I already have throughout the rest of my house. Although, I strongly believe this is a great product. Hope this helps...

My wife and I spotted this browsing the store one day and both fell in love with the look AND THE PRICE! I replaced 1,100 sqft of my flooring with this and installation was par with standard laminate flooring. Despite what the directions suggested, I did not use any transition strips because I wanted a seamless look throughout the entire house. I have had no issues since installing, just make sure you leave space between edge and walls to allow shifting and I recommend using a high grade pad under it. Since laminate flooring is not ideal for areas that might get wet I did some research and learned that you can use wood glue on the seems (in those areas only) and it creates a greater resistance to water penetration. I have 3 kids under 6 that have dropped/thrown/dragged many things on this floor and it has held up well so far.
Great price, great look, good quality...I highly recommend this flooring.
