I tried using this to cut up some old carpet and it was basically useless. I managed to push it through a few pieces but it took a lot of effort to push and some pieces it just jammed completely. Not what I had hoped for to help me cut up 350sf of carpet. I used my Dremel Multimax instead with a scraping knife and it cut through the the carpet like butter, took less than an hour to cut up the entire carpet into 2x2ft squares.
