I have been using this product for the past 2 years. Works well for repairing dings in carmel-colored oak engineered wood floors and filling in the nailheads on new oak stair treads. To match the wood filler to the oak, I mixed a bit of the oak stain (a few drops) in a small amount polyurethane (plastic bottle cap half full) to spot seal and color the wood filler. I couldn’t apply the stain directly to the wood filler as the color quickly became too dark. Some of the floor repairs and also painted trim repaired on window sills and doorways (from what looked like an aggressive dog) are about 2 years old, and still look impressive. Also patched some small holes in exterior Hardiboard and painted the patch. That’s holding up well, too.
The product packaging is excellent. I found the stored-shelf-life can be extended a year by cleaning the lip of the container & cap, then covering the unused wood-filler with a cut-to-size square of food-wrap and sprinkle a few small drops of water on top of food wrap.

I was more than surprised when I bought this wood filler yesterday only to find upon opening the 3 inch deep container today it was only filled half way with wood filler (see picture). Yes, it probably did weigh 32 ounces as stated on the label, but when you are looking at products on the store shelf and trying to judge how much you will need, you look at the volume of the container (which is white so you cannot see into it). I was very disappointed that I will have to make another run to the store to buy more wood filler. I hope DAP will consider filling their containers so all of us DIY'ers will not have to make a second trip for more wood filler.

I filled it in three layers, allowing each to dry completely. After the last one dried, I sanded it smooth and stained it along with the rest of the deck. It looks great, and so far (only a week), it is holding up well. Time will tell how good a product it really is, but right now I am very happy with the fix.

I filled it in let it cure for 2 days and I believed it worked great. Then the rain came today and washed it out. I called DAP and the customer service agent acted like I should have known you have to paint this right away to protect it from the rain. However, when you read all the directions it doesn't even mention this. I pointed this out to her and she said its latex of course it will fail in the rain. Ok I am not a painter or a chemist I need directions that clearly state that this product should not be used if any chance of rain is in the forecast. I planned on sanding and painting to match my railing but the weather had other plans. Don't be fooled by the word "plastic" in the product. If this was plastic the rain would not bother it.

Long time user.....disappointed!As a custom cabinet builder, I've use this product for years. The last tub I bought wasn't even half full! The one side was only about a 1/2" deep. I wish I would've weighed it but I had 6 cabinets waiting for paint.

It looked like it was going to fill the cracks in the grain of the wood. Also looked like it was going to fill in some knots and indentations. I had high hopes that my deck was going to look so good when it was sanded and then I could apply my expensive deck paint/sealer.
Well I was so wrong. As I started to sand it just came out of the cracks in the grain and most all I had put down with the plastic putty knife. I broke the plastic and switched to a metal one. Either way neither mattered. Stuff did not meet my expectations. My waste of several hours and my money.

I knew I could dig out the rotten wood and then fill with this Natural Plastic Wood Filler. Then I gave a few coats of paint and I should be good for another 10 years. Plus I saved $500.00 fixing my four posts that had rotted in the decorative molding. This is a picture of the worst post's molding where I dug out the rotted wood and then filled in. I think I could have smoothed out the filler better, but I just could not stand being out in all the pollen. I have more projects to do and will save a lot more money doing it myself!

I had to dig down to the bottom 1/3 to get a thinner consistency. After drying it sanding fine and took paint well. I have to see how it holds up in time. I have used to use the plastic wood that came in a can. The instruction said you could add acetone to thin it if became too hard. There are no helpful hints on the new container. It would be helpful if they gave instructions on thinning.
