Designed to be hard-wearing the heavy duty 1680D polyester fabric has been tested up to 7,000 abrasion cycles so you can feel confident knowing they can hold up against a wide range of surfaces ranging from construction site concrete and subflooring to at home hardwood and tile. The custom-molded EVA foam core helps to both absorb shocks and disperse bodyweight. When an extra layer of protection is desired additional caps can be attached using the built-in twist-to-lock anchors. The inner layer's lightweight, water-resistant EVA foam construction pads and conforms to your knees for a comfortable fit and the single neoprene strap design makes them a breeze to put on and take off. These pads are well designed and comfortable. Since I am 5' 5", the fit is good for smaller people, women, but large enough for men. The inside is soft, cushioning and roomy for larger person. Outside shell looks like a heavy duty nylon type material. It looks durable but not as much as a hard shell. It could be penetrated by shard objects, even though the overall thickness makes it unlikely.
The velcro attachment is easy to use, with an orange tab for easier grab. This would be quite convenient when wearing gloves, for example. The strap is well below knee and allows for comfort and good mobility. The size of the strap should be sufficient for most people and it is slightly stretchy as well.
There is a loop that is supposed to keep the pads together, as best as I can tell.
Overall, the design is comfortable and universal, with some good convenience features. Durability of the pads is probably not as great as would be with hard shell. The pads are very lightweight as well.

Seem very sturdy, fit snug & comfortable...cushy but stable, and seem to stay in place...nice. I'm used to 2-strap knee pads, so these are a little different...there is only one strap, velcro fastened, which sits slightly below your knee crease...the top 2 straps are attached in a kind of fulcrum fashion to the velcro strap, which works surprisingly ok. Remains to be seen how long the velcro will hold up over the long term. The little red gloved-hand pull straps are a nice pro touch.

These safety knee pads are very well made and very comfortable. The wide velcro straps don't bind...These safety knee pads are very well made and very comfortable. The wide velcro straps don't bind and keep the knee pads from sliding down your legs when you stand up. The adjustable buckles keep the knee pads close to the kneecaps so that they don't drag and canch while crawling. I wore these for about an hour while wearing shorts and they stayed where they belonged and were never uncomfortable on my bare skin.

These knee pads are covered with a tough, sturdy black woven fabric that looks like it would with...These knee pads are covered with a tough, sturdy black woven fabric that looks like it would withstand everyday abuse. The construction is a little different with the strap being wider than some knee pads and where it wraps around. This wide strap wraps more around the top of your calf rather than the back of your knee. The area in the front that they protect is longer than on many knee pads. They do the job and are comfortable when kneeling on them. These are better than many I've used through the years.

I have several sets of knee pads for different jobs; however, these abrasion resistant knee pads ...I have several sets of knee pads for different jobs; however, these abrasion resistant knee pads are the best in my arsenal. It is like floating on air and the comfort is unparalleled. I have only been using them for a couple of weeks but have found them to be both durable and comfortable over long periods of use. In addition, the straps are adjustable and do not bind behind the bend in the knee making them easy to use.

If you spend a lot of time crawling around rocky crawlspaces or on all fours installing flooring,...If you spend a lot of time crawling around rocky crawlspaces or on all fours installing flooring, you need a set of quality knee pads. Before getting these, I had used a more primitive low cost set. The difference is night and day. These are like having two pillows under my knees. They also don’t slip around when walking or need constant adjustment. I just received them so I can’t speak to their longevity, but they seem to be durable and well constructed of quality materials. If that proves not to be the case I will be disappointed. But so far so good.
