Professional Black Foam Thigh Support Stabilization Safety Knee Pads - Product information

Whether you work in the roofing or flooring industry or are just looking for an aid working in the garden or on home improvement projects, ProLock PLK07 (93182) Knee Pads will help protect your most important asset. Designed to be hard-wearing the shatter-resistant polyethylene outer shell is mounted to abrasion-resistant 1680D polyester so you can feel confident knowing they can hold up against a wide range of surfaces ranging from construction site concrete and subflooring to at home hardwood and tile. The custom-molded EVA foam core helps to both absorb shocks and disperse bodyweight and the hinged thigh support aids to take pressure off your knees delivering greater comfort during long stretches kneeling. The combination elastic/neoprene, buckle thigh and calf straps comfortably hold the kneepad in place without cutting off your circulation. To keep essential tools within easy reach each kneepad features a built-in pencil/ruler holder to store those or other necessary small tools. Whatever industry you find yourself in, on the job or at home, when a task calls for working on your knees let ProLock knee pads take the strain so you don't have to.

  • Durable - polyethylene outer shell and 1680D polyester inner lining construction

I received my ProLock knee pads, as luck would have it, just before I was to start installing a new floor in my master bedroom and bathroom. The knee pads fit my legs very well, snug but not to tight. In the past with any knee pads I have used, the straps that hold them on cut into the back of my legs and as i get up and down, the pads ride down my leg. With these pads, they stay put and don't cut the back of your legs. They are very comfortable. The thing I like best about these knee pads is that they have a hinged brace that attaches to your thigh not to the back of your knee and the elastic straps that hold them on are padded and very comfortable. I have had a total knee replacement a little over a year ago and until now have not been able to work on my knees but I can now with these pads.
The only downfall I can find with these ProLock knee pads, if you can call it a downfall, is if you are kneeling on a smooth hard surface, the hard face of the pads tend to be a little slippery.

The knee cups are very padded and protect the knee very well on a direct drop from standing to your knees, but seem narrow even for my skinny legs and pinches my shin area below the kneecap. The Padded strap is a great idea but the adjustment for smaller legs is hard to get to where they are tight enough to stay up but yet comfortable. It is a large and cumbersome set of knee pads and the top brace is a good idea yet wont stay tight enough to help hold them up. The clasps need more design work as they are hard to connect when adjusted for its smallest setting and could use having a handle or such to allow you to grasp it instead of being completely smooth.. Overall the material used in this pad are good by issues with the design make this an impractical pad for my use. I need something that I can put on and forget that I am wearing and this is not it. Price is moderately placed with higher end pads but out of the 4 pair I have bought none have really been something I can use on a daily basis and be comfortable.

If you have to work on your knees for any length of time, you would be well advised to get a very good set of knee pads. Like these. They are comfortable even after a few hours. Allow for easy movement both standing up and working on the floor. Your body weight is spread over a bigger area with the hinged support. The knee pads slide easily over the area you are working. Once you get it adjusted to your knee/leg you will not your adjusting it every few minutes like the cheaper models. The only thing that could have been improved would have been the addition of a bit more velcro. I like mind a bit tighter.
I only do a couple of 1000 sq.ft. of tile over the year, but I will never forget that I was unable to work for a week due to knee problems because I decided I could use a cheap 7.00 dollar pad. Professionals know the right tools save time and in this case your kness

My daughter and son-in-law have been doing some remodeling of our house including new bamboo flooring. After being on your knees on the concrete sub-floor for a few hours they're knees are pretty sore. My son-in-law has a pair of knee pads. They have seen better days. The elastic straps are so stretched out you have to wrap them around you knees twice and the are still to big. We decided to try these knee pads. They look really big but once you put them on they are really comfortable. The padding inside is supportive but soft. The straps are much better elastic than the old pair and should last a long time. The shell is hard plastic but has a grain to it so you don't slip on smooth flooring. Easy to put on. Really nice knee pads!

These knee pads provide excellent protection. The protection system reminds me of a hockey shin pad. The knee feels almost suspended away from the outer protective shell. At first I thought they were quite bulky, but once I put them on, they were comfortable and provided hours of use without any force transmitted to the knees. I really like the elastic small tool holder. I used them to put down a protective floor covering and had the tape measure, marker and cut knife attached, so as I moved along, the tools were always handy. My only complaint is, they had a tendency to come loose. I couldn't get them tight enough, seemed like every so often I had to snug them up.

I've used a lot of knee pads in the past and most of them would either slip down from my knee, or the straps would eventually find their way behind my knee and be very uncomfortable. These Pro-Lock knee pads don't have either of those problems. They are easy to put on thanks to the adjustable padded straps, and they absolutely do not slip out of position.
They are comfortable to wear for long periods, and don't hinder your movement when kneeling on the floor or when walking around. The combination of soft padding on the inside and rugged hard plastic shell on the outside makes them ideal for work both inside and outside, on all kinds of surfaces.

These are pretty decent pair of knee pads, once you finally get them adjusted. They are a little narrow for my knees, but once you get down on them for a while, they tended to spread out to allow my knees to seat into the foam. The hinged portion I wasn't to sure about at first but after a few hours of crawling around on my knees painting baseboard trim on a remodel that we are currently working on, I kind of like them, they stay in place as you get up and down. The down side is, the the knee pad shell is smooth enough, that on hardwood floors they are pretty skittish and could make your knees slide out from under you in a heartbeat. On carpets or on roofing shingles they seem to be just fine. They could make the clasps a little thicker, they are difficult to clasp with gloves on in cold weather, just a thought.
