Very pleased
I was a little concerned about product quality since I couldn't see the flooring in the store. I ordered 10% overage for bad boards, waste, etc. as suggested by the store rep, but ended up returning the extra 10% because I didn't need it. Not suggesting you don't order extra, just saying that the quality of the wood I received was very high. Yes, there were a few small gaps here and there - this is natural wood, so it won't be perfect. But overall, I was very happy with it. It took very little skill to install, but was a lot of work - took me and a buddy 2 days to do 200 sq. ft., taking our time since we had never installed wood floors before. On appearance, the boards look great. If you've never done pre-finished hardwood floors before, note that they have a small bevel on the edges so that the floor is not perfectly flat like a floor that is sanded and finished in place - it has small bevels between the boards.

Good wood when you can get it...The wood was good quality, but the only problem is there was many many pieces of the wood in the box that was unusable, so the manufacturers quality control was lacking. We have done other hard wood flooring in our house (different manufacturer), and maybe 5-10% of the wood is warped or unusable. We would estimate that 25% of the wood in these boxes were unusable due to warping, tongue and groove problems, or the wood was cracked. This is how the wood was delivered in brand new packaging. The company needs a major over-haul in inspecting the wood before boxing.

Low quality productI bought 7 boxes, each box contains many bad pieces with knots and discoloring pieces, at least 20% are waste. Then the good pieces are mostly short pieces (18 inches or less 60%),
open the box to air it before installation, it started to curve, make the matter worst is the tongue and groove is very tight, so as long as the piece has little curve or in-perfection two pieces won't join together! Do not buy this product.

flooring quality/colorI liked the finish on this flooring as it was less glossy, more satin than most I had seen. I do like the flooring installed, but I will say that there are a lot more dark pieces than I anticipated. Too late to complain or return it. It works in my situation. The sample flooring in the store was obviously all choice pieces. Be warned when you buy this floor you should examine the contents of the box and know what's inside before you decide to install it.

I contract/remodel homes and had never installed hard wood flooring, but I must say Depot's PF7108 Red Oak flooring was so easy that it only took two days to install a dining room,living room, den and hallway. With such beautiful wood grain I would recommend it to anyone who inquires.

It is beautiful!This flooring is beautiful. We have a contemporary home and the 3 1/4 was perfect for it. I put it in myself with the simple instructions from a well informed employee at the local store. I should mention I am a 45 year old stay at home mother of a 10 & 11 year old. I took my time, dealing with the usual soccer for both kids, laundry, dishes, dinner, and the usual, but had it done within 2 weeks!

3 1/4 Red Oak NaturalI had a 60 sq. ft. area to do. I had purchased 3 boxes and there were only 4 pcs. over 4'. The rest of the pieces were 12 in. to 24 in. and alot of them were damaged. I was also going to purchase enough wood to do a 12 x 12 room, but not when most of the box comes in small pieces. I usually am happy with the product I get from the Home Depot, but I wasn't happy at all this time. I feel that when a home owner trying to stretch there dollar and to get a poor product like this isn't going to return to your store.

Excellent Quality Fast Direct ShippingThe product was shipped from the Tennessee factory direct to my home in Georgia. It was delivered only 3 days after I ordered- Fantastic Service. Product is as I had expected. I paid a little more than through the discounters but got Home Depot and a reputable manufacturer. Would do again.
