This Bruce Hickory 3/4 in. Thick x 3-1/4 in. Wide x Varying Length Solid Hardwood Flooring features micro-beveled edges and square ends and a Janka hardness rating/resistance to denting of 1820. The flooring is 1-piece milled from lumber and can be sanded and refinished as needed. Due to the sensitivity of solid wood to moisture and extreme temperature changes, this flooring cannot be installed below grade. The flooring has a pre-finished hickory rustic natural medium color with a low-gloss finish.

good appearanceOverall the product was good. Many of the boards had a rich,dark color. Out of 9 cartons, several of the longer boards were bowed and 2 or 3 boards had poorly made tongue and groove. The lengths were a very good mixture. This is the second room we have installed the same flooring.

Our layout looked much better than their example here, I think that is the key to it's beauty is the layout. Not all pieces are perfect but you learn to compensate. We used this flooring + treads and risers on stoop and two steps enclosed in similar wood porch. The last Gunstock Oak we bought is gorgeous also, the grade has gotten much better. Very Happy
