StarPro's St. Augustine Ultra Synthetic Lawn Turf is our thickest designer turf at 77oz. face weight. The blades are two-tone (lawn green and field-green) and have a natural tan component to the thatch layer which gives it a slightly lighter and very natural appearance in the southwest. This turf heralds in a new generation of synthetic lawns that look like real grass. Realistic because it combines the old style turfs durability with a kinked monofilament thatch layer that supports the 1.6 tall blades of grass for a totally natural look. The turf looks like a thick freshly mowed natural lawn. No mowing, trimming, fertilizing or watering, ever! St. Augustine Ultra turf is UV stabilized. The backing is coated with polypropylene to add resilience and extra life. Infill (1/2 - 1 of sand or tire particulate) is optional, but adds blade support, softness and extended life. - St. Augustine ultra turf has two different color blades for an incredibly natural color and real look and is UV stabilized to keep it that way. The turf backing has a black polypropylene coating which stops weeds, adds strength and gives our turf extra life
- The turf has a dense layer of kinked polypropylene monofilament that forms a thick thatch layer to support the blades and keeps them standing erect
- Infill is not necessary, but 1/2 in. - 1 in. of sand or tire particulate is highly recommended because it increases the support of the blades, adds weight, softness and extends life. See on-line installation instructions
- Turf is perforated to drain at 50 inches per hour. Orders are in increments of 1 ft. x 15 ft. Ex: If the order is 6, you will receive a single 6 ft. x 15 ft. strip of turf (90 sq. ft) not six individual one foot strips
- This is a Custom Order - orders are sold in increments of 1 ft. To order: place order and set order quantity to the desired length (ft.) of your turf. EXAMPLE: if your order is for 10 ft. you will need to add a quantity of 10 to your cart and you will receive turf that is 10 ft. in length x stated width.

product is very realistic and seems to be high quality materials (test will be to see how it holds up over time - xince I'm in a high temperature area). could have used some installation tips with the product. have seen other products that rolled edges to hide seams, but does not seem necessary with this product and would be a very time consuming exercise.
free delivery was included, but shipper informed me when it arrived at their depot that although they could transport to my residence, they had no way to unload the roll from their truck and requested that I have a forklift fitted with a rug puller available on site. Opted to rent a utility trailer and transport myself from the shippers depot. got product to my home and removed it from the trailer using winch. free shipment is just transportation and they do include being able to remove product from their truck.

Not real but looks real makes it unrealThis is one of the best purchases I have made. It is easy to install and looks so natural. It even contains thatch as if were freshly mowed. I have to remind myself that it is artificial. I had two proposals to have it installed and it was four times the cost of what I purchased this for from Home Depot online. With heavy rains it still looks natural and it drains through the holes in the turf mat. The coloring is a bit different on the rolls that I purchased later and if you look closely you can tell they are from different dye lots. Overall I am so pleased with this product and the fact that it looks freshly mowed at all times and to maintain that look I don't have to get out my lawn mower. Thanks Home Depot.

Not as advertisedThe product is dense and great quality. Unfortunately it is misrepresented. I purchased this product expecting it to be 2" in height but it was just under 1.5". If you're looking for a realistic grass height, this isn't it. It looks like a plush carpet, not a lawn. The return was arranged quickly and they explained that the specs had changed. I see that after a month they still have not updated their website or the Home Depot site with the actual measurement.

We are really impressedThe product was easy to install. We purchased a 10 x 15 foot section and were able to drag it into place with two people. Actual product measured more than 10 x 15 leaving a good bit of overlap for the perfect fit. The dogs love to lay in the sun on it and it's holding up well to their foot traffic-the turf has not shifted at all.

A good artificial lawn grassBought a small sample (15'x2') to try in a shaded area of my property before I decide to go bigger. It is one of the top-of-line appearing artificial turfs for lawn coverage (I did a lot of research). Bought a bag of turf nails as recommended, did a small amount of ground prep and install was smooth. Looks so real but it is hard to remember that grass could look this good since it has been so long since I have seen a 'real' green well cared-for plush lawn. By the way...this is NOT lawn for golf putting. They make one for that need. Looking into that one too.
