Is it really that hard to cut a sample of wood? Store samples are free and the cuts are straight ...Is it really that hard to cut a sample of wood? Store samples are free and the cuts are straight and smooth. This brand is not available in store so I had to order online and pay $3 per piece. I bought 2 of the gunstock and one in natural. A blind person could have done a better job. The edges are completely splintered and chipped into the finish. On one the end isn't even cut straight. If I want a decent one to compare with I will have to cut them myself which will only make them smaller. One sample wasn't even 4".
On a side note, I bought a different brand sample for only $1 and it's at least 3x the size and cut perfectly.
