I had this installed in my home about two years ago throughout my first floor level, excepting the kitchen and bath. The professional installation was excellent, and the flooring remains absolutely beautiful. Although the gloss is not detectable in this store photo, it is a gloss finish which is resistant to scratching. I have two large Ragdolls (cats) and they have not caused any problems to the flooring (However, they have never had any accidents on the flooring either). I occasionally sweep and dust mop, and infrequently use the wet Swifter. I am in the process of purchasing the same laminate pattern for my upper level loft, together with a non-gloss laminate in a different selection for my staircase.
