Toilet Flange Tile Guide (5-Pack) - Product information
The Toilet Flange Template and Tile Guide that makes tiling a bathroom floor fast and easy. This innovative template fits around the toilet drain flange and leaves straight sides where tile can be cut straight with a tile cutter to butt up against the square guide sides. This is a much easier job than traditional tile nipping to match up to the round flange. Just leave the template in place and install the toilet right over the tile and guide as usual. Removable 'ears' make the guide compatible with most toilets and toilet wax bowl rings. In addition, the guide's label card works as a debris and odor cover over the flange opening while the rest of the bathroom tiling job is being completed. Simply remove the label card before the toilet is put in place.

Beware of toilet width before usingEasy to install. The descriptions say it will be covered by Most toilets. After tiling my powder room, installing oak baseboards and molding, I tested the fit of the toilet. The corners of the tile guide showed outside the tapered back of base. I ended up buying a new toilet with a straight wide base to cover it up. It was only 1 under $300.00 at Home Depot that had a wide straight base. So beware, most toilets DO Not cover the tile guide. You may be able to cover it if you break off the back tabs on it. But then you would not have straight cuts coming up to it. The other option is to lay the tile over it. The tile guide is 8 inches wide. The base of the toilet back is 7 inches wide. Almost all of the toilets at Home Depot had the same measurements. That width is not given in the toilet specs on the boxes. That said, measure your toilet base before purchasing.

I demanded my contractor use one!!!We had our second floor bathroom remodeled about 3 years ago. I noticed a water spot on the ceiling below the bathroom. I called the contractor that did the job. When he pulled the toilet I could see the gaps between the tile and the toilet flange where the water went rotting the floor. The wax ring must have failed. Before he started the repairs, I saw the tile guide online and got one. I showed it to my contractor but he acted leery. When he got to the tiling, he used it as I requested. He cemented it to the new subfloor. When the bath was finished, he thanked me for showing him the guide. The guide made his job easier and he liked the result. There were no open gaps like before and he said that if the wax ring fails again, the water would appear around the edges of the toilet on the floor letting me know there was a problem so my floor doesn't rot again.

Great product especially for beginnersThis product is fantastic. This was my first tile project that i put off for a long time because I wasn't sure how to tile around the toilet flange. I found this by accident and am grateful for my luck. The best part is the sticky paperback which prevents sewer gases from coming into the bathroom while you tile the floor. Because of this i only had to make two 90 degree cuts with a rented tile saw. Love this product.

Made installing my Marble tile in the bathroom much easier. Cutting the tiles on a wet saw to but...Made installing my Marble tile in the bathroom much easier. Cutting the tiles on a wet saw to butt up against the Toilet Flange Tile Guide was far easier than traditional alternatives. After installing some closet spacers to make the Flange level with the Marble Floor Tile; installing the toilet for a water tight seal was fairly easy.

Easy to Use!This product made retiling my bathroom floor quick and easy. With my husband out of town, the toilet flange tile guide allowed me to complete this project on my own without another set of hands. Especially at this price, I'd recommend it to anyone to save the hassle of cutting tile around your toilet.
