We have to return it because it is not true to color.. once we received it the color is nothing like the pictures show it to be. There was more black than brown in it

This is a nice floor, and was easy enough to put down as I did almost 1100 square feet by myself. I used a straight edge razor to cut the pieces when needed. I learned as I went, and by the time I was done the floor looked better and better.
The issue I am now having is that it seems to be coming apart. I know it is a "floating" floor, and that you need to have room at the edges for the expansion of the floor... but I didn't really expect to see the seams coming apart one month in. The short seems were a little stubborn to get together, and now I have quite a few that seem to be separating. As if that's not bad enough, I have long seams coming apart as well in various areas of the house. And these seams are not on the edges, so I would have to take multiple boards out to fix them.
So at this point, what turned out to be a nice and easy DYI project that replaced carpeting throughout the house, has turned into a possible disaster.
Why are the seams coming apart when I was very careful to get them locked in?
Could it be because the floor is poorly designed and the seams don't actually lock in?
I am hoping this will taper off as the floor settles in.
If I ever do another floor again, Vinyl Planks will be an option... just not these. A thicker floor with a better edge and locking design would be the route to go.

Easy to install and looks great!
I chose this floor for it's distressed look (website image doesn't do floor justice) and the fact that you can start installing anywhere. You don't need to start on a wall because this floor snaps in going both ways, so you can actually start in the middle of your room if you want to, which is what I did.
The floor is still new so I will see how it holds up in the long run.
