First time using a product like this. It was not...
First time using a product like this. It was not smooth completely around and that made it difficult to get into the grooves. It was also a tad too wide, and I had to chisel it down to get the other groove on. I used this with 2 1/4 inch wide, 3/4 inch thick Canadian birch hardwood.

This product made it very easy for me to change directions when installing hardwood floors in this room.When installing hardwood flooring there are times when you need to change the direction of the tongue and groove so you can change the direction of the installation. I needed to do this in three locations in this room: twice in closets and once when going around a corner. By inserting this tongue you effectively turn a grooved side of hardwood into a tongued side. This product fit snuggly into the hardwood pieces I was installing and I could not be happier with the results. It also helped that the product shipped out to me in a timely manner on a very time sensitive project.

Didn't fit my tongue and groove engineered 5/8 thick flooring...Didn't fit my tongue and groove engineered 5/8 thick flooring so I add to make them myself. Probably will work with 3/4 quarter inch thick flooring.
