Excellent stuff! I can't speak to its sealant capabilities yet as I just laid the floor. But it makes the grout much more workable and consistent, and extends potential application time compared to water. I forgot to use Grout Shield on room #2 at the beginning, and was wondering why the grout went from wet to dry so fast, and wouldn't work in well to the joints. Then I went to mix up the next batch and remembered I was using this stuff. All the remaining batches of grout have been uniform, smooth, and easy to apply once I went back to using the Grout Shield. I agree with another reviewer that it doesn't cover nearly as much square footage as advertised though.

WORKS! I have proof!.....This stuff is excellent! Easy to use, and it works let me tell you. I tiled my backsplash about 4 days ago and grouted it using this stuff in place of water the next day. About five minutes ago, I splashed merlot, that's right, RED wine all over it. I began to panic visioning all my hard work down the drain. I grabbed a rag and it wiped clean with water! Not a trace of stain on my "bright white" grout. It is definitely worth the little bit of extra money we spent on it. Right now, I wish I could give it 10 stars. Highly recommended!!!

Used it with the grout. Mix is thicker than regular...Used it with the grout. Mix is thicker than regular grout. Doesn't set immediately which is nice. Don't think it covers as much of an area as described. Overall good product. Would use again.

sets up fastfirst time I used this product .I usually use water then seal grout afterward. which I hate . I didn't realize that this sealer causes the grout to set fast, and that you can be more aggressive with the clean up sooner. don't leave any grout on the surface of the tile.it is difficult to remove. we installed a beautiful glass tile and had to clean some grout off the surface. we used a mini plastic scraper which worked great. the plastic would not harm the glass. the job came out beautiful, with a little extra clean up. next time I"ll be a little more aggressive sooner with the clean up.

bad expierenceused this product as directed. used to seal tile counter tops. product did not seal grout. it coffee stained very bad. ended up going back to H.D. and buying and using a traditional tile sealer and colorant As far as I am concerned, This is a complete waste of money.
