The MSI Absolute Black Granite Floor and Wall Tile exudes classic, ageless beauty with the modern appeal of deep black tones. Suitable for bathroom and kitchen installations in both commercial and residential settings, this durable tile is frost resistant for indoor/outdoor versatility. The unglazed natural stone is honed with a smooth surface, medium sheen and moderate variation in tone to create an eye-catching focal point. Note: Please inspect all tiles before installation. Natural stone products inherently lack uniformity and are subject to variation in color, shade, finish, etc. It is recommended to blend tiles from different boxes when installing. Natural stones may be characterized by dry seams and pits that are often filled. The filling can work its way out and it may be necessary to refill these voids as part of a normal maintenance procedure. All natural stone products should be sealed with a penetrating sealer. After installation, vendor disclaims any liabilities.

Rich look even in small bathroom
I had the 12x12 absolute black professionally installed on the floor when my bathroom was renovated. It's laid out as a square, not diamond and has non-sanded charcoal grout (also from HD). I used impregnator 511 to seal the grout (also at HD). Bathroom is an irregular 8x5. I was hesitant when it was suggested by my HD designer to get granite flooring (especially black) since I wasn't sure how it would hold up but I did research and checked with others who had granite and I've had it for 5 months now and love it! The bathroom looks rich without being overdone. I thought it would make the bathroom look small but it doesn't. Have walked on it with heals, boots, sneakers, socks & bare feet and the dog walks on the floor also, I have not noticed any scratches. I do have a black bath rug in front of the tub and vanity (but they are removed when I have company).The down side is that black shows everything! The smallest water mark or bit of dirt. Must be vacuumed often. Clean with a damp cloth or mild detergent, I use Granite & Marble countertop cleaner + protector wipes by Dupont - I checked with Dupont, they can be used on the floor.

***MUST READ*** This product is doctored granite. It is garbage!I bought this tile for a counter top installation. After one week of use, there are gray spots all over the place, there are also several rings the granite from glasses sitting out on the countertop.
The issue is called "doctored granite" (which i unfortunately learned about after the fact). Cheaper granite imported from India and China include dyes and resins to make the "absolute black" color. These dyes are easily removed with a slightly acidic solution or simple long exposure to water. There is an easy way to test for this. Simply apply a drop of lemon or lime juice on the tile and wait 5 seconds and wipe it off. If the tile has a grey spot where the juice was, you have a doctored tile. This product is absolutely a doctored tile and my entire tiled counter top job looks terrible only a week after installation.

Best Purchase I MadeI am extremely pleased with this product. When I decided to get it I was told it would not be good to use in the kitchen or laundry room. I love the rich look this absolute black granite tile adds to both the kitchen and the laundry room. It is the best choice I made.

Great LookingThe granite tiles arrived quickly and in perfect condition--no chips or breakage. The granite is completely black with tiny specs that shine. The tiles were easy to cut with a diamond saw and to install since all tiles were of a consistent thickness. Even though the tiles were approximately 4 lbs each, installation overhead was no problem. We used fast-setting thin set.
