A lot of damaged pieces
The pictures do not show how knotty the wood is... which for the most part, I don’t mind. BUT a lot of the wood has huge holes - like quarter sized - which I was not prepared for. This resulted in needing more flooring (to avoid the super knotty pieces and account for several broken boxes) and we are now waiting, waiting, waiting. It is also taking twice as long to install it as was quoted to us, but that’s another story.
Recommendations:
1. I wish the sample in the store and in the photos showed the knotty wood... I don’t mind the character but I wasn’t prepared for THIS much character. The pieces that aren’t so beat up look very beautiful though.
2. Carefully watch your install and have them adjust beat up pieces into less noticeable areas (ie. Under cabinets, dark corners, etc)... but don’t hold all the beat up pieces until the end - it will look funky.
Notes: We installed more than 900sqft of this floor in our entryway, dining room, kitchen, and a half bathroom.

We are 80% done with our floors and have at least seven boxes that will be returned. Some of the floor is beautiful, but if you didn't over order like we did, you would have trouble finishing your floor, especially given it's a special order product. I wan't bothered by the smaller planks, what I didn't like was the amount of planks that have defects. Some are split, some had drops of stain, but the biggest issue was uneven staining. The bulk of what we are returning has variations in the staining that make the flooring look like it has had water damage. Having to sort through them all as we go, and then having to return them to the store afterward is a big hassle. Sometimes I think that quality control didn't even look at them...why would they think someone would use them? Otherwise we really like the look of the floor and hope it will hold up well over time.

The floor is super easy to install. I've never installed...The floor is super easy to install. I've never installed flooring before and I did it myself. It is pretty durable too- I've moved a lot of furniture across it with no damage or marks left. Overall I love it and it looks great!

Looks very nice although I would have liked the ends...Looks very nice although I would have liked the ends to butt together tighter. Found the stain to be very consistent.

Color is very inconsistent from box to box. Some...Color is very inconsistent from box to box. Some of the boards are so short they are worthless unless you want the floor to look like a jigsaw puzzle. Also beware it looks like BLOOD on at least 2-3 pieces in each box. I ordered 17 boxes and have 3 boxes of small pieces left over. I would expect something a little nicer for the price of this product. Little disappointing.

Great ProductThis product is great quality, very easy to install, and looks beautiful. It is a little pricey, but compared to other products in its price range, I would say it is worth it. I damaged the floor slightly when moving new furniture into our house. I sanded the scratch smooth and applied matching stain and the floor is good as new. The only real downside is the lack of available transitions and stair nose. Those are VERY expensive and they do not sell a matching stair nose for the 3/8" engineered wood. I had to modify a stair nose made for 3/4" wood floor. I did not dock any stars for the transitions and stair nose as I am reviewing the flooring itself. I just wanted to point that out for those looking.
