This version of Bruce’s hardwood floor has square edges and looks so much better than the releaved edge versions. Plus I think it will be easier to refinish it in the future. It may be a little more expensive but the extra cost is worth it for how good it looks. I urge the do it your sellers to try putting hardwood down over using carpet. It’s easy and there are lots of you tube videos to show you how. This was my first time and it’s beautiful!

Used Bruce hardwood flooring about 12 years ago for my dining and living rooms. Based on that experience and a color match desire, I purchased Bayport. I had to purchase an extra carton, wasting $125 to find enough pieces to be able to toss the strips that had so many splintered pieces. The edges were very rough on many pieces, several pieces had dents in them and a bunch had a dull stripe across them like something took the gloss finish off. From what I received, their quality control program does not exist.

We installed Bruce hardwood 25 years ago in our dining room, living room and hall. This year we decided to remove the carpet in our three bedrooms and continue with hardwood. This new wood is the exact same color as the old wood and is a perfect match. Installation went as expected. This time I bought a flooring nailer to save the rental fees as we are installing over several weeks. There has been less than 10% waste so far. Fit and finish are as expected. We bought 23 boxes of this on sale for $3.03/sq ft and are very pleased.

Just finished installing about 50 sq. ft. so I don't know long term usage issues. I thought the quality was good while installing. After installation complete I noticed 2 low spots in the flooring where 2 boards are slightly lower for several inches on one end. This has to be a manufacturing defect. So double check the surfaces match before nailing.

This flooring not only looks great, It installed quick and easy. This is a rental property and was the same cost as carpet when I installed myself. I am counting on the durability to out perform carpeting. Would recommend to all do it yourselfers.

Delivery was fast, quite a few boxes got damaged, but Home Depot replaced them at no charge, thanks! Planks are not very well milled, many of them are not straight, either bent or curved, which makes the installation very difficult.
