Very easy to install. Easy to cut either with a utility knife or table saw. I used both for my install. Does have quite a strong smell for the first few weeks but it does go away. To me, they smell like the soles of a new pair of running shoes. The top 2mm is a tougher rubber with the bottom 16mm being a softer foam. That being said, it is possible to separate/peel the 2 layers apart but once installed I am not anticipating any issues with the layer separation. I wasn't sure what to expect with the firm/softness of the tiles. They are a bit more firm that I expected but I think they'll hold up quite well with weights and dumbbells being dropped onto them from a low height. The top 2mm rubber layer does have depressions/cavities in it. I am not sure what to expect with those depressions trapping dirt. We've only had the floor installed for a month so far and only walk on it with either socks or our dedicated workout shoes to avoid bringing in outside dirt/mud and rocks.

Great gym flooringRecently got the product and installed it my home gym , I have a professional free weight rack, fitness machines, etc and this flooring over my concrete substrate makes my home gym look and perform like a professional fitness center. The tiles connect together very easily, no glue needed, and they are relatively easy to cut with sharp utility cutting blades and a heavy steel straight edge. The installation goes fast except you need to be patient and use caution around door jambs. If you don't have or rent a professional wood trimming hand tool to cut the door moldings where they meet the concrete by the tile thickness, you can cut the tile with a sharp utility knife as close as you can to the door molding where it meets the floor and finish off any minor gaps between the tile and wood molding with black sealant. I chose to install a shoe molding against my existing baseboard to conceal any gaps and achieve a professional finished look. The tiles are 3/4" thick account for this with transition moldings. The box includes 12 tiles for 48 sf NOT 64 sf as the advertisement says so account for this too !!! But the tiles are so nice for the price that I'm not angry about having to order and spend more money . Also the waste factor may be slightly higher then standard 10% because I decided to not use the 2 straight edges that came with each tile and preferred to make my own straight cuts against the baseboard to avoid more tile joints....you'll understand what I mean if you order this product. I highly recommend this product if you want a professional gym looking floor without the exotic price tag of commercial rubber gym floors...I trust that this product girl my home gym will perform great for many years.

Great for the dogs!We've been looking for something for our dog room that was easy to clean the mud off of, yet durable enough to hold up to their dog-play and scratching. These mats were easy to install, and the dogs love them! No slipping across the room, they have spilled water on them, and it will pool up top, with very little penetration. Still easy to mop and make it look like new. So far, they have not been able to break through them either, and with 2 wolf-hybrids, that says ALOT!

That said, I put these in for my garage gym. I think they will perform just fine. I am a little concerned about durability, but I figure Home Depot will do the right thing if they don't hold up.
Installation: Super easy. My 7yo helped me. One small caveat, I set mine up in a 4x6 configuration, and the removable flat side needed to be trimmed to create a flat seam. It may have been user error, it was only an issue on one side. Anyway, used a box knife to trim it & it is just fine.
They do have a pretty strong "new rubber mat" smell. I anticipate it dissipating over time, not a big deal in my garage, but it might be a little to much in an exercise room without a lot of ventilation.
Overall I would recommend these. But withholding final judgement until I've them in for a while.

If you need a floor for your home exercise room,...If you need a floor for your home exercise room, this is the floor for it. Easy to lay, cut, and fit. Stays put and doesn't move around. The foam is very dense but gives when you kneel or walk on it, The rubber smell takes a while to go away but it isn't bad. Highly recommend this flooring.
