The QEP Tile Leveling Clips (96 per Pack) are part A of a two-part installation system engineered to level, align, space and hold large body porcelain tile, marble and stone during installation. This part of the system works by automatically aligning and spacing tiles. The wedge part B of the system (sold separately) works by maintaining tiles at an even height until the mortar sets, thereby ensuring the resulting surface is level and free of lippage. The system is used by professionals to save time while providing level and consistently spaced results.

these are so awesome. They dont require tools like some of the others to set or remove. They barely work for 1/4" porcelain tile but they do work - nothing thinner than that though or the wedge will go right through. You do have to let the tile fully set before kicking them loose as to not dislodge a tile - well that's what I believe because I was afraid of dislodging a tile. Make sure you leave the wedge in when kicking them loose - I made the mistake of pulling out the wedge on the first one then kicking it and it broke wrong and I had to use the grout saw to get it out. If you actually read the directions (unlike me) you should be fine. O, and I used the broken ones to space the bottom of the tiles on the steps as I laid the tile so always keep a handful of the leftovers. If you are laying the floor first they are useful to get the same grout line on the risers or wall.

I often use this "Lash" Leveling system from QEP because it is so available at Home Depot. It is ...I often use this "Lash" Leveling system from QEP because it is so available at Home Depot. It is inexpensive compared to the other system I use "T-scan Leveling System". I like it for smaller custom tile work when I want to have high quality flatness in smaller areas. Both walls and floors benefit. You will need to back butter your tile and use a 1/4 x 3/8 notch on the substrate so that the tile will float and the Straps slide in under the tile easily.
The 12"x 24" tiles so common today are in fact less of a challenge when using the Lash Leveling System.
The White plastic straps, are improved by soaking in water overnight. They stay better without snapping off prematurely.

We did a whole bedroom with these and they were...We did a whole bedroom with these and they were super to work with. The created a nice, thin grout line and they really leveled the tiles. We then did a second bedroom using these and the same great results. Out of the about 600 we used maybe two broke during installation so that's a great number. If we do tile again we will surely use these. Be sure to spend the money on the tool that goes with these. It makes it so much easier.

Be aware, the wedges must be bought separately. I bought a kit in a box and had to run to two different stores, in the pouring rain, to get them.

Provided an easy way to insure the tiles would be...Provided an easy way to insure the tiles would be level on uneven shower wall tiles. Also provided the thin grout lines I was looking for. Will definitely be purchasing again for the next tile jobs!
