This tile is absolutely beautiful - I hung it on a single wall behind the mirror in my powder room. The only reason I gave it less than 5 stars is that you have to be a bit careful when cutting as the edges can chip a bit. It is not stocked in the store in any kind of quantity but order and pickup from Home Depot was a breeze.

Firstly, the product itself. The product is beautiful - until it gets wet. Once wet (which you're...Firstly, the product itself. The product is beautiful - until it gets wet. Once wet (which you're going to have to do to cut it, mortar it, grout it, clean it, etc), it loses all of its internal sparkle and shine. So wait - doesn't it come back once it's dry? Nope... tried baking it in the oven @ 180 F for two hours, tried leaving it out for a week. Nothing. Completely went from vibrant and shiny tile to dead glass - which, don't get me wrong, is still nice, but it's not what we bought. If you don't mind flat-looking glass for your project, then go for it.
If that was it, however, I would have totally at least given the product two stars. But no. The glass is entirely porous, and unsealed, and the cracks are actual cracks. It takes on any and all color you might get on it. Have it as a backsplash? First time you get red sauce on it, it'll stain yellow/orange. We cleaned it with a sponge (more on that in a second) and bits of the dark blue sponge got caught in the tile and were unable to come out.
Lastly, homedepot.com. Ah, Home Depot. I love you - most of the time. The people at Home Depot are normally super great. This shouldn't effect the review normally, as shipping and the product are separate, but in this case, they are related. This product was shipped SOAKING WET. Please allow me to clarify. The outer cardboard was bone dry. The outside of the very nicely done expansion foam and plastic on the outsides were bone dry. The inner cocoon where the actual tiles were boxed looked like they just got out from Niagara Falls before they were neatly packed into the inner container. As such, all of the cardboard inserts between the glass tiles had fused onto the tiles themselves, and required each one to be scrubbed with a sponge (see above) to get the glue=like paper from the front surfaces.
Long story short, buy another tile.

The long format gives them a modern flair, while the crackled glass top is more traditional. We will use these behind our master bathroom sink, instead of in the kitchen, because the surface of the tile does have small cracks in it. So cleaning this often would not be ideal. I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because of the surface cracks and because the size of the tile does vary (about 1/8 inch) and will make it more challenging to lay.

Great backsplash tileInstallation was same as any ceramic. Gloss finish sealer before grouting to insure no residual haze. Looks amazing against quartzite. Tiles were packaged well, didn't have any that were unusable due to shipping cracks. Great quality control.
