Buyer Beware and Consider. While this is sold in the same isle as Pergo Flooring, as I found out ...Buyer Beware and Consider. While this is sold in the same isle as Pergo Flooring, as I found out tonight, it won't work with it. At least with Pergo XP Alexandra Walnut. I meticulously cut the track and added extra screws, pre-drilling even the holes, only to find out that the actual molding piece is not deep enough to rest on my Pergo XP laminate and then snap into the track!
The directions are almost "null" when you consider it is just a label with three points on it. While the price is less than the molding from Pergo, and it is readily in the store, I realized too late it wouldn't work with my application. I am not a rookie at this as I have done three different transitions in the house already, two from Pergo and one other style, all purchased at the time locally in Home Depot.
I guess my review for the product is more in terms of its lack of clarity on its application. The physical characteristics are on par with Pergo's. {Though Pergo has an actual install document with their product as well as an additional spacer where needed.}
