I was attempting to replace older T-Molding that had broken (15+ years). This product does not have the spacers I need to achieve proper height for my existing floor. And I already disposed the spacers from the older molding. I did try using screen molding, but too high. This probably will be fine on most newer floors as they are less height. This is a return for me.

Laminate floor these days comes in a variety of thicknesses, from 7 mm up to 12 mm. You would think they would make the tongue long enough to accommodate one of the thicker floors. Obviously they can't make the metal track 12 mm thick or it would be too thick for the 7 or 8 mm laminate. In my case I was using a slightly thicker floor, and the transition into the kitchen was just a tiny bit thicker as well, so the T-track 's at a slight angle. While part of the tongue went into the metal track okay, other parts of it would not, and it kept popping out.
The solution was to shim the T track higher, but I had to remove the molding to do this. Here's the second problem. This stuff is made from MDF and some vinyl covering. If you go to pry it up it's more than likely going to leave the tongue behind. It's pretty much a one time use product. In my case in order to do a 6 foot section, I had to go back to the store and buy another piece at $24. So it cost me $48 to do a 6 foot transition.
You can buy entire vinyl covered shelves with edging for about 10 or $12, yet this piece cost $24 and is nothing more than the same vinyl covered MDF. It's outrageously expensive for what it is, and the quality is horrible on top of that. Very disappointed in this product, but I would say is pretty typical of a lot of modern day moldings. Nothing more than sawdust and glue put together under pressure, and then covered in plastic. I'm sure the markup is in the thousands of percent. Certainly not recommended, but you have little choice when you buy laminate floor if you want the matching molding, and I'm sure the manufactures are well aware of this.
