Would recommend to anyone that wants bamboo and full planks helped a ton!We looked and looked and looked for the hardwoods that we were going to put throughout our house including kitchen, dining, family room, living room, hallway and entry. After looking all over the place, we decided on this based upon the ratings of the other thicknesses (I believe this is the first review for the 1/2". I really love the fact that they were full pieces and not a bunch of 12"-24" pieces which would have took a lot longer to install. It took 2 days to install 1200 sq ft of flooring throughout all those rooms. In reality, we spent half of the time measuring, remeasuring, and measuring again to make sure when the rooms met back up, they would all line up. If it was the same sq ftg in one large room, or a couple square rooms that don't meet up to other open rooms, it would have taken half the time. The flooring itself is rock hard. During install a couple times, I goofed and dropped a hammer on the claw on the floor... freaked out... then looked where it fell and it didn't even leave a dent. We have also had the floors on for over a month now and they have taken the wear of several room remodels, kitchen, baths, moving our entire home full of stuff in, etc.. and nothing as of yet. I will say if you are making a lot of cuts with it, plan on getting a new blade on your miter box afterwards because this stuff is hard as heck. Anyway, I am very happy with this flooring and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

UnsureWe installed the solid bamboo spice in our great room with a nail down method and the flooring looked great. Then Summer passed and winter came; mid winter large gaps and shifting of boards occurred despite having a humidifier. Was hoping that the shifting and shrinking would improve with the next summer season, but no luck. Also, any nail holes can't be filled and stained as the putty won't stick to the floor and there is no match stain for this color floor. Disappointed:( Wished I went with more of a traditional hardwood as this wouldn't have been such an issue. I don't recommend this flooring to anyone who lives up north nor for nail down method. We did do another room with the glue down method on cement and shifting and gaps isn't as problematic in this room, but installation was a nightmare; spent a week using mineral spirits, magic erasers and a lot of elbow grease to remove the fogged over glaze on the floors despite having used gloves and wiping each board with spirits during installation, per manufactures instructions.

BEAUTIFUL!!!I did read the previous review and did not want to order the floor, but it was the one I wanted. Then I did see the response and decided to try it anyways. No regrets! The floor is gorgeous and I love it. I love the wide boards and it fits in with living near the ocean. It is lite and airy. We did the living room and dining room. I plan to run it into my bedroom and closets this fall. I included a couple pictures.

Defective Boards - Bubbling and FlakingI purchased this floor for my bedroom. We had to return 15 of our 30 boxes of flooring because the finish had visible bubbles, which when touched, would flake the finish off. It took us 6 weeks to order in enough boxes to sort through, in an effort to finish the room. Half or more of every box showed these bubbles on the finish.

Difficult to install but looks great with some patience.The beauty of this product as well as its eco-freindy features and durability sold me on this product. Installation should be left to a pro as this flooring is extremely dense, hard, and prone to splintering. Proper gauge cleats, psi on stapler and other factors must be fine tuned and blades sharp. I might try a glue down application after experiencing the challenges of nailing down. Edge boards MUST be drilled, hand nailed. Looks beautiful with some patience and wasted product due to splinters, etc when cutting/nailing. I hired a pro and the outcome still isn't perfect. I mixed gray stain with wood putty to fill nail holes, worked well. Make sure to let the wood acclimate and cut outdoors if possible. This brand is better than others but still has formaldehyde in it. I'd consider hardwoods if doing this overas this product can't be Sanded if scratched and cost is same.

Excellent product!I was concerned with the installation but the "glue" applied easily and floor went on very well.
The floor will move a little during curing/drying process so you'll want to use spacers and weights to keep things in place.
Wish you could buy in smaller quantities as I was short one board and still had to buy a full box.

Beautiful!We just installed the floors in 4 rooms. The wood is a beautiful color and the quality is excellent. The install went really fast though we had it done by professionals. Also, there was is not too much variation in the wood and we had very little waste.
