Overall it was good, I did have quite a few defective pieces in each box. I was able to use most of those on ends or narrow cut pieces against the wall. On box was particularly bowed which required a bit to close up the edges. I was pleased with the finished floor.

If you buy this product you should open and inspect each box before leaving the store and lugging...If you buy this product you should open and inspect each box before leaving the store and lugging it onto your job site. I bought 12 boxes some of which were fine - but some pieces are just not usable, not sure why Bruce even puts them in the box - they should charge more and only provide usable pieces. Bigger issue - two of the boxes were mostly shorts 12-14 inches. Its like someone at the factory said - lets tick off the guy who buys this box and fill it with little pieces.

I have this 2.25 “ product in my home. Installed in 2005, hallways,kitchen and dining area. It still looks like new. My wife loves it, and as a builder, I’ve always had good experience. The finish is really tough, and I cannot see wear anywhere. Lays fast.

Love Our Wood Floors But Sun Bleached Some Areas to a Shade of Orange-PinkSoon after we bought our home we installed about 1200 sq.ft. of this product.
After researching installation online and finding great tips for getting good results we installed it ourselves.
There are ways to straighten even the most crooked pieces. I wouldn't try installing this based on just the instructions in the box. I wish I had a purchased Floor-nailer & Palm-nailer instead of renting. Use a Palm-nailer for areas close to walls. Finished product was beautiful. It's an amazing upgrade where used. Everyone still loves it!
Unfortunately, back then we had the original windows. On the southern side of the house the finish was sun bleached to a pinkish orange. The warranty doesn't cover sun damage. I'll have to refinish or replace those areas at some point. Today we have all new Low-E windows which would have prevented the sun damage. I plan on installing another 1000 sq. ft. upstairs this year. Tools Used; floor-nailer, rubber mallet, chop saw, table saw, extra large flat screwdriver, drill, hammer, shims, pry bar, lots and lots of floor nails.

Very nice product. Installed 14 bundles worth and only had...Very nice product. Installed 14 bundles worth and only had about a third of a bundle of "bad boards". The finish is great and the consistency between bundles was spot on. I expect it to last a long time.

ExcellentWe installed this stuff in our living room around six weeks ago. It wasn't cheap to do, but we are very very happy with the results. Granted, I had a professional friend alongside me for the entire install, so the craftsmanship was top-notch. From now on, I would feel comfortable installing myself.
You will find one or two odd pieces per box, but that is to be expected. Overall quality is still superb.
Color and luster and fit were superb. HD's pricing matched all the local lumber suppliers prices for 2 1/4" oak, prestained. Honestly, no complaints. We went through 11 boxes and HD let us return the 12th unused box.
We bought a nice area rug a week after we put the hardwood in, but ended up returning it as it covered up too much of this gorgeous floor! Thrilled with it.

Excellent product. All the boards are well made with precision....Excellent product. All the boards are well made with precision. I have not had to discard one board out of 30 boxes. The results are beautiful. I would highly recommend.
