Price is fair for the product...but size is nearly 3 inches short.
While the thickness is adequate and as good as it gets for a moderate moisture barrier... The added antibacterial/antifungal feature should prove to help in reducing if not eliminating mold that can develop on concrete floors especially below grade.
My complaint is regarding overall dimensions, the packaging and handling of the plastic at the factory. This item is not carried in the store so its impossible to hand select the best product from the shelf and leaves you up to the discretion of the picker in the warehouse. So, when I unwrapped the vinyl the first thing I noted was the odd way it was folded and rolled leaving weird creases in the vinyl. As I laid it out in a room that measured less than 9 X12 feet, I was surprised to find the length almost 3 inches short of the 12 feet listed as the minimum dimension on the product. I honestly expected the sheet to be a scant OVERSIZED rather than UNDER. It makes it difficult to overlap the sides of the room without patching... which is why I order the 10 x 12 sheet rather than a 3 foot roll.

This is probably an effective vapor barrier, but the way the 120 sf roll is packaged makes it ext...This is probably an effective vapor barrier, but the way the 120 sf roll is packaged makes it extremely difficult to use. It's folded in a very complex way to make it fit on a 31" tube, resulting in springy fan-folds that prevent it from lying flat. No amount of hand-smoothing or taping makes it lie flat. We used it to lay laminate flooring on a concrete floor. If we ever do another project requiring 6-mil vapor barrier, we'll look for something that is packaged with few or no folds.

Short sizedI was very disappointed with the sizing. The poly sheets (2) were ordered as 10'x12' but arrived as a 9'6"x 11'-10" .
The fact that it was 6" short didn't allow for the manufacturer's required overlap of 8" in my 20' long room. there's just NO excuse for the product to be undersized.
Other than being cut undersized........ it's a reasonable product.

Great for laminate floor installation on smooth concrete slab.Used this vapor barrier on my Allure Traffic Master laminate flooring installation. This was put on top of the relatively smooth concrete slab with an 8" overlap when taping pieces together. Then a SimpleSolutionsSoundbloc Foam Underlayment for Laminate Flooring was used on top of it for comfort and flooring sound reduction. Worked great. Was able to install this vapor barrier by myself with little to no problems. Better to install this than to have moisture set in later down the road causing mold and mildew issues. Thus damaging your flooring and affecting your health. Ensure concrete slab is smooth and free from debris prior to installation.

Bad underlaymentGetting this to lay flat under laminate flooring is almost impossible due to the wrinkles in the roll from the way they wrap it at the factory. Do not recommend this product for laminate flooring. If you don't get ALL of the wrinkles completely out before you install the flooring, it will krinkle and make noise as you walk across the floor. I've tried everything to get the floor to stop making noise from the plastic. I've put heavy weight on the floor to flatten the plastic to no avail. Get a different plastic to install your laminate floor.

The quality is very good.This item was packaged without due consideration that the plastic stretches under tension as it is being measured and relaxes after being cut. The length on receipt measured 9' 10" instead of 10' as advertised. This would have been OK were it not a minimum dimension

Excellent productThis product is nicely rolled onto a cardboard tube with no wrinkles in it. Since it is virgin resin polyethylene, its film thickness and consistency should be more uniform than something that was made from recycled plastics.

Easy to lay down, just have a little time to let it settle before laying floor and you should get a tight water resistant membrane between the concrete and the flooring. But all told it's just glorified visqueen... any plastic sheeting with 7mm or higher rating will do...
