Look nice and are fairly comfortable, but don't last longI have an assortment of knee pads and all of them have shortcomings. The QEP Nylon/Foam Gray Washable Knee Pads looked good at first and their single elastic Velcro straps that wrap below the knee was their most appealing feature to me. Most knee pad straps cause considerable discomfort when worn for a days work, but these are fairly kind to the skin while doing a reasonable job of keeping the pad in the proper position. I was initially happy with the product.
Unfortunately, the pad’s cushioning became completely crushed after less than a week of regular use and were then little better than no pads at all. Therefore, I would recommend this product only for the most occasional user.

Basic PadsI bought these to use while tiling a basement floor. Price and washable were the main reason. The Velcro straps will eventually start to "bite" into the back of your legs and get a bit uncomfortable so you need to leave them a bit loose. You can also expect a bit of discomfort from your knee area sweating - but not really too bad.
Overall, the pads are ok and better than nothing. They are flexible but provide enough cushion for the knee area. I just remove them when I take a break to allow air and relieve the "pressure" of the strap.

I kneeded :-) a lightweight pair for use while installing a tile floor. These provided excellent comfort on a concrete floor and tile, and were hardly noticeable when wearing them. They show no signs of wear after several hours of use. They do not pinch and they stay in place. I keep forgetting to take them off.
