The Merola Tile Saja Nero 13 in. x 13 in. Ceramic Floor and Wall Tile is inspired directly by a series of oxidized metallic molds that were originally used to shape ceiling plaster moldings. Named after the Saja River in Spain, this tile features a black glaze that has a weathered, worn look reminiscent of tin ceiling tiles. There are 10 different variations of rustic scuffs and spots randomly scattered throughout each case, convincing that this tile is truly aged. The centering raised floral design offers a dimensional, eye-catching look. Despite its high durability rating, these matte tiles could wear irregularly on a high-traffic floor due to the variation in height. Designed by interior architect and furniture designer Francisco Segarra, this tile is a true reflection of vintage industrial design. This tile is great for use as an accent wall, backsplash, shower and kitchen floor.

I ordered the grey and cream tile for my kitchen floor in this same design, both are gorgeous and it was a hard decision to make between the two. But I decided to go with the cream tile instead which went better with my kitchen cabinets and adjacent wood floor. The tile has the look of old world vintage and look exactly as I expected, I loved them from the moment I opened the box. You won't be disappointed if you choose this design!

It is a bit more gray than blue/green as possibly in the photo (in our opinion) but makes it even more of a neutral. We love it!

Your always a little worried when you order from a...Your always a little worried when you order from a picture but I was not disappointed. Ordered the tile for a fireplace surround and it looks awesome. Even our contractor was impressed. It is beautiful tile.

The color is not grey or black, as you would think by the name, but a dark coal-grey-green. I'm not sure if I would call thus a warm or cool tone. Maybe more of a warm tone if I had to choose. The greenish color makes it a beautiful earthy tone, so keep this in mind when designing. Seems like it would go nicely with a lot of different colors, just not the other stuff I'm using.
I didn't use the tile in the end because the color didn't coordinate with the cool greys and taupes of the rest of my project.
